State Rep. Briscoe Cain Named Recipient of Operation Rescue's 2021 Pro-Life Person of the Year Malachi Award for His Work on the Texas Heartbeat Act
- By Operation Rescue
WASHINGTON -- Operation Rescue is pleased to announce that the recipient of its 2021 Person of the Year Malachi Award is Texas State Representative Briscoe Cain, who assisted in crafting the language for the Texas Heartbeat Act, which prohibits abortions after a heartbeat has been detected on a baby in the womb, which is usually around six weeks gestation.
The Malachi Award is given by Operation Rescue every year to recognize individuals who sacrificially work to advance the cause of protecting the pre-born.
In 2020, before the Texas Heartbeat was enacted, there were 55,175 abortions in Texas. Thanks to Rep. Cain's work, it is estimated that the Texas Heartbeat Bill has reduced abortions in that state by 50 percent.

Congress Expands Federal Government by Increasing Debt Limit
- By Eagle Forum
The federal government has a big spending problem. We have watched both parties add to the federal debt for decades while ignoring the impending consequences. In one generation alone, the deficit has ballooned from $5.2 trillion to $28.4 trillion. A whopping 54% of the federal deficit has been incurred in just the past two years, since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, the government is out of money and is forcing the American people — and future generations — to bail them out.

Houston, We Have a Solution
- By Tony Perkins - Family Research Council
Six weeks after the 2021 general elections, conservatives are still winning races. Last Saturday, conservative candidates defeated two incumbents in four run-off elections for the Houston Independent School District (HISD) Board of Trustees. Dr. Kendall Baker and former PTO President Bridget Wade both focused their campaigns against mask mandates and indoctrinating students with critical race theory. Although they are the only two conservatives on the nine-member school board, the radical school establishment and their media allies are shaking in their boots.
A Houston Chronicle "reporter" editorialized, repeatedly, that conservative school board victories were "a testament, some say, to the grip that national politics have taken over local education." He also insisted CRT "is not taught in Texas schools" while attacking Texas Governor Greg Abbott for "trying to whitewash discussions of race and the country's history" by banning it.

Fauci Hides Financials
- By Adam Andrzejewski - Eagle Forum
In January, our auditors at OpenTheBooks.com investigated Dr. Anthony Fauci. We discovered Fauci was the #1 most highly compensated federal employee. Our findings, published at Forbes, were national and international news. However, we had a lot more questions.
We filed a Freedom of Information Act request for Dr. Fauci’s employment documents. We requested Fauci’s employment contract and all modifications, amendments, addendums; job description; and financial and conflict-of-interest disclosures.
It has been a nine-month battle. The National Institutes of Health, an agency of Health and Human Services, failed to comply with our three FOIA requests so, together with Judicial Watch — an organization which also fights for accountability and integrity in law, politics and government — we filed a federal FOIA lawsuit to force the Fauci paperwork into the sunshine.
