INDEPENDENT CONSERVATIVE VOICE OF
UPSTATE SOUTH CAROLINA

Chumley-Seek-ReelectionRepublican State Representative Bill Chumley announced today that he will seek re-election to the South Carolina House of Representatives. Rep. Chumley has served in the House since 2011 representing District 35.

“We’ve made some positive steps towards furthering reform in this last term,” Rep. Chumley said. “In the House I’ve been able to work closely with other conservatives and I am proud of the things we’ve been able to accomplish. The most important, and certainly most controversial, issue has been efforts to stop Obamacare in South Carolina.”

Rep. Chumley said that without a doubt stopping the further implementation of Obamacare has been the biggest part of his efforts. “I’ve had to make some tough calls and take some challenging votes, but everything I’ve done has been focused on the goal of limited government, lower taxes, and more personal freedom.”

Rep. Chumley has received consistently high marks from conservative, pro-business organizations. He has been rated A by the National Rifle Association and a 95 from the South Carolina Club for Growth.

A native of Reidville and the owner of several small businesses in Spartanburg County, Rep. Chumley and his wife Faye have two sons and four grand-children. The Chumleys are active members of Poplar Springs Baptist Church.

Rep. Chumley has started and operates four businesses, and his business experience and insight have resulted in 7 U.S. Patents and 3 Federal Trademarks.

House District 35 encompasses southwestern Spartanburg County including Reidville and Woodruff and a small portion of Greenville County.
