MIDLAND, Texas — ChinaAid is delighted to announce the arrival of a Hong Kong family in Midland, Texas, marking the end of their long journey to freedom. After fleeing political unrest in Hong Kong and enduring years of uncertainty in Taiwan, this resilient family of five is beginning a new chapter in the United States.
A Journey Marked by Hardship
The family’s struggles began in 2016 when the father, an advocate for Hong Kong independence, was arrested for his activism. Fearing for their safety, the family fled to Taiwan, where they faced immigration fraud, legal complications, and the lack of legal status for their youngest daughter.
The federal government owns multiple trillions of dollars of federal assets -- from land, to buildings, to patent rights, to mineral rights, to immigrant visas, to oil fields to trucks and trains and unused office furniture equipment.
The government could earn well over $1 trillion and perhaps as much as $10 trillion by selling off these assets that are simply hoarded (figuratively) in the dark and dusty basement of government buildings. These assets could then generate added annual tax receipts once they are utilized for productive purposes.
I'm not talking about selling the Washington Monument or Yellowstone National Park. The sales could and in most cases should be limited to American citizens and American businesses.

WASHINGTON -- Continuing its undefeated record of First Amendment court cases involving Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) and Ratio Christi (RC), the college campus evangelism and apologetics ministry proved victorious over the Secular Student Alliance. In 2020, President Trump’s first Department of Education enacted the “Free Inquiry Rule,” which allowed religious campus student organizations to have leaders who reflect the organization’s theological beliefs and to share those beliefs freely without university discrimination. Previously, public universities were pressuring Christian organizations to allow non-Christians to serve on their leadership teams or risk losing university recognition on campus. In some cases, like at the University of Iowa, religious student groups were being de-listed and barred from receiving university funds available to other student groups. The Free Inquiry Rule was put to the test in January of 2021 when the Secular Student Alliance (SSA), with the assistance of Americans United for Separation of Church and State, filed suit against the Biden administration’s Department of Education. That same month, Ratio Christi moved to enter the case to defend the Free Inquiry Rule. The Biden administration, sympathetic to SSA’s claims, initially tried to repeal the Free Inquiry Rule. In December of 2024, however, the Biden administration announced it was abandoning its attempt to change the regulation.
Governor McMaster is doubling down on his nomination of Dr. Simmer for South Carolina’s public health director following a grassroots push to stop Simmer’s confirmation and after receiving the resume of a well-known medical freedom physician.
Back in November, Governor Henry McMaster nominated Dr. Edward Simmer as the Director of Public Health that is awaiting Senate confirmation. Since this nomination was announced, both the SC Senate and Gov. McMaster has received an influx of calls and letters from South Carolinians advocating against Dr. Simmer, as he has a scarred background and isn’t even a clinical physician.

MARRIETA, Ga. -- As America continues to debate over the legality and ethics of abortion, millions of innocent infants are being murdered all around the world. Only 3% of abortions worldwide occur in the United States, yet it’s estimated that 97% of pro-life resources are directed to America. That’s why PassionLife works as a pro-life global missions partner to missionaries and Indigenous Christian leaders where the plague of abortion, infanticide and gendercide is especially concentrated.

244 years ago the Redcoats under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Banastre Tarleton got their comeuppance at an out-of-the-way backwoods cattle holding area in northeastern South Carolina known as the Cowpens.
The feisty Daniel Morgan, already a Patriot hero, mounted a brilliant defense against some of Britain's finest troops using both militia and Continental soldiers.
Tarleton, who was used to rushing his cavalry right down the middle of opposing forces in previous battles and winning, did not deviate this time from his prior tactics. He did not expect the welcome that he received until it was too late.

President Donald Trump has kept his campaign promise to pardon nearly two dozen peaceful pro-life advocates prosecuted by the Biden-Harris administration.
The 47th president signed a pardon for 23 pro-life advocates, many of them elderly and still incarcerated, whom the Biden administration’s Justice Department threatened with up to 11 years in prison for carrying out nonviolent protests against abortion or infanticide.
“Twenty-three people were prosecuted. They should not have been prosecuted. Many of them are elderly people. They should not have been prosecuted,” said President Trump, who called their imprisonment “ridiculous.”

WASHINGTON — Thursday afternoon, President Trump pardoned 23 pro-life rescuers who were persecuted by the Biden/Harris weaponized U.S. Department of Justice. Americans across the country have waited anxiously for this day and are celebrating with these men and women as they return to their families.
Just before signing the Executive Order pardoning the rescuers, President Trump asserted they never should have been prosecuted and added, “This is a great honor to sign this.”
President of Operation Rescue Troy Newman said, “As the largest civil disobedience movement in American history with over 75,000 arrests for peaceful non-violent intervention on behalf of preborn infants in the late 80s and 90s, we relate to the plight of these men and women.”
On December 4, 2024, the Congressional Subcommittee on the Corona Pandemic chaired by Subcommittee Chairman, Cong Brad Wenstrup, Col-USAR (MC) (R-OH-2), an endorsed Combat Veteran For Congress, revealed in its report to the nation, that Pfizer was forced to reveal the list of destabilizing side effects that are still injuring Americans with its dangerous COVID-19 Gene Therapy injection (The COVID-19 Experimental Test Injection still has never been approved, to this date, by the FDA). Dr. Anthony Fauci and Pfizer illegally labeled the experimental test injection as a Vaccine; it has never been a Vaccine, Americans have been misled, it is a Gene Therapy Injection.

House Bill 3304 (H.3304) is sponsored by Representative Kathy Landing (R-Mount Pleasant) and two other representatives. Meanwhile, House Bill 3442 (H.3442) is sponsored by Representative Bill Taylor (R-Aiken) and two other representatives.
I have written often that there is a common denominator in our deeply divided nation.
That is the general sense that something is wrong.
The points of departure among our large and diverse population are the perceptions about what the problems are and what must be done.
In this spirit I ask, as many have over recent days, what message we might take from the coincidence of the inauguration day of Donald J. Trump as America's 47th president with the national holiday honoring the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

In his second inaugural speech Monday afternoon, President Donald Trump promised that a series of forthcoming executive orders would implement the 2024 election’s “revolution of common sense.” He immediately proceeded to sign an avalanche of executive orders repealing the Biden-Harris administration’s promotion of transgender ideology, ending the weaponization of government against pro-life advocates, safeguarding freedom of speech, securing the southern border, emphasizing American energy independence, and ending imperious government decrees by the federal bureaucracy.
Breathtaking: There's no other word for the sheer ambition and scope of Donald Trump's second inaugural address.
President Trump is back with all the confidence of a man delivered from death for a purpose.
Voters save his political life and legacy, too, by reelecting him in the face of every accusation and criminal charge against him.
Trump has been given a second chance -- by God and the country alike -- and his address left no doubt he intends to use it to transform America.
Since 2009, protoplanetary disks have reportedly been observed in the Orion Nebula, 7,500 light years from Earth. But are these genuine observations or merely astronomers' interpretations supporting their theories on planet and star formation?

In the flurry of executive orders by President Trump, you may have missed the exciting news that the United States is withdrawing from the World Health Organization. The withdrawal process will take a year to complete, but the U.S. will save billions of dollars annually and protect Americans from the onerous overreach of unelected bureaucrats.
Just how bad is the WHO?
This week, the incoming Trump administration issued a day-one executive order on the global minimum tax agreement known as Pillar Two, which seeks to ensure multinational corporations pay at least 15 percent in income tax. The order contains two main elements: the first is that policy promises made by the Biden administration’s Treasury officials have no effect except insofar as the US Congress passes laws to back them up. The second is that the US may retaliate against extraterritorial taxes.
The relationship between the US and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) minimum tax deal is complex, but below are the five elements most key to understanding the situation.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A grassroots nonprofit ministry that exists to awaken, educate and empower Christians says the American church has continued to be lethargic in stewarding its rights and liberties - even as President Trump begins his second administration.
Only 56 percent of self-identified Christians voted in the latest U.S. presidential election, according to the 2024 Post-Election Survey from Dr. George Barna and the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University.
The most common reason for not voting was lethargy. The study reported that one out of five voting-age, self-identified Christians (20%) said they had intended to vote in 2024 but simply forgot or never got around to it.

Democrats lost plenty of voters to Donald Trump last November — and the ones who stuck around seem increasingly sorry they did. That’s because three weeks into this new Congress, the party of Joe Biden refuses to abandon the wildly unpopular policies he represented. Maybe they thought they could survive by leaning into their left flank. There’s just one problem: they’re running for the exits too.
The party’s post-election miscalculations came into greater focus last week when the House voted on a bill to protect girls’ sports — an issue that even The New York Times admits has 79% support. But instead of listening to Americans and the message delivered in the 2024 elections, Democrats doubled down, proving they’re incapable of flexibility on issues of radical transgenderism.

MANILA (Worthy News) – While Philippine authorities confirmed the detention of an alleged Chinese spy, the U.S. military moved Lyphon launchers – which can hit Chinese targets from Laoag airfield in the Philippines to another location on the island of Luzon, officials confirmed.
The Tomahawk cruise missiles in the launchers can hit targets thousands of kilometers (miles) away in both China and Russia from the Philippines; the SM-6 missiles it also carries can strike air or sea targets more than 200 km (165 miles) away, according to experts.

On January 16, 2025, the Georgia House Speaker’s Legal Counsel and Deputy Chief of Staff, Keith Williams, assaulted State Senator Colton Moore when he attempted to enter the House Chamber for a joint session of the Georgia General Assembly. The Capitol police witnessed the assault and arrested the victim, not the assailant, disregarding O.C.G.A. § 16-11-34 and showing the dire need for Constitutional and legal training. As a duly elected member of the Georgia General Assembly, Senator Moore had a constitutional and legal obligation to represent nearly 200,000 northwest Georgia constituents by attending the joint session (Ga. Const. Art. III, Sec IV - O.C.G.A. § 28-2-2). The Constitution Party of Georgia and its supporters join many other Georgians in rejecting the blatant lies that Senator Moore “created a dangerous situation” or “chose to use force” by attempting to fulfill his obligation. The numerous videos of the incident show the exact opposite.
WASHINGTON -- Pro-life advocate Herb Geraghty, who was convicted in September 2023 of violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act after participating in a 2020 pro-life rescue in Washington, D.C., has decided not to seek a presidential pardon. Herb was sentenced to more than two years in federal prison for allegedly blocking access to an abortion clinic owned by notorious late-term abortionist Cesare Santangelo.
During the rescue, Herb entered the building that houses the abortion clinic to peacefully encourage women to choose life. Initially cited for trespass, Herb was never prosecuted for that charge. However, two years after the event, the U.S. Department of Justice under the Biden-Harris administration brought charges against nine pro-lifers present that day, including Herb. The group faced violations of the FACE Act and conspiring to deprive others of their “right” to abortion under an obscure Civil War-era statute originally enacted to prosecute members of the Ku Klux Klan.

It’s been an exciting week for our nation! The winter chill could not stop the peaceful transition of power as President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance were inaugurated in the beautiful Capitol Rotunda. Amidst all the events, President Trump wasted no time getting to work signing a historic 26 executive orders on his first day. One of these actions was to rescind 78 of Biden’s executive orders including regulations regarding gender and DEI, COVID-19 mandates, harmful climate change initiatives, and more. Each action is an incredible restoration of common sense and promotion of American values. We want to highlight just a few of these “promises kept” this week.
LEXINGTON, Ohio -- Last year the atheist organization, the Freedom from Religion Foundation (FFRF) sent a letter to every Ohio school district discouraging Ohio school boards from participating in LifeWise Academy. While FFRF skeptics believe the released-time religious instruction program disrupts the school day, a large band of faith leaders believe FFRF is ‘pushing the envelope’ and meddling with their state. In response, the clergy sent a correspondence to over one-hundred Wisconsin school boards encouraging them to allow the voluntary Bible program in their districts.

President Trump wasted no time signing executive orders on all these subjects, and many more, after being sworn in as the 47th president of the United States. Trump began signing the first several executive orders in front of cheering MAGA supporters inside the Capital One Arena, throwing the pens he used to sign the orders — a cherished and sought-after collectible — into the audience.

I owe the title of this essay to my mentor, Kenneth Bachand (1931-2021), who was a teacher of both English and history, writer, author, and avid researcher of Civil War history. He was my mentor during my blessed decade in Hendersonville, North Carolina. He was a graduate of Stetson University and taught in the Florida school system for 25 years. Nearly blind in later life, he still managed by modern devices to research, write, and edit. Following the death of his beloved wife, Mary Marguerite Bachand, he moved nearer his two daughters and nine grandchildren near Columbia, South Carolina.

“The village leaders decided to abandon the rebuilding of our fortified part of Andria, knowing that our enemies would send their war machines against us again. We concentrated on fortifying our own homes, making them as strong as possible, covering them with rock and dirt. Each family head was ordered to store some food and water, as many weapons as possible, including bullets if he had a firearm, and was ordered by our village leaders to review with his family all of the possible escape routes out of Andria. We all knew that we could not hope to match the weaponry our enemies possessed, but we all did our part to make our village as ‘unfriendly’ to our enemies as possible. We dug stake pits and disguised them, making certain our people knew where they were. We raised heavy logs into the trees, where they could be dropped onto our enemies. We constructed piles of large rocks on the hillsides around our village, being held in place by hidden barriers that could be easily removed, so the rocks would tumble down on our attackers.

President Trump begins his new administration with promises of significant changes. His supporters are supercharged by his massive election victory that called for decisive action to cut the size and cost of government, eliminate corruption, and reduce the power of federal agencies. Above all, Trump’s supporters believe we are on a course to restore the Republic of our Founders.
However, as the celebration begins, it’s never been more vital for those who support Trump’s plan to stay vigilant to its opposition. The main lesson the forces of freedom must learn is that the Left never accepts defeat, and they never quit. Their movement for big government control has a specific agenda, and they intend to keep it moving forward under any circumstances.
WICHITA, Kan. -- Cecile Richards, former president of Planned Parenthood, has died. As co-founder of the Center for Medical Progress, I was part of the team that exposed the abhorrent sale of baby body parts by Planned Parenthood in 2015 -- a revelation that brought to light one of the greatest human rights atrocities of our time.
