The Real Jim Crow

How Northern Jim Crow Laws Moved South
“Jim Crow” was the stage name of New York actor Thomas D. Rice (1808-1860), who made a career of minstrel performances in blackface and thus popularized that form of entertainment. The name “Jim Crow” came from a popular 1832 song, “Jump Jim Crow,” written and sung by Rice and became a common term referring to African-Americans. Later it became a nick name for legislation restricting the rights of African-Americans. Blackface is not necessarily demeaning. Rice may have based his character on slave folk tales about a clever trickster. Al Jolson (1886-1950), a Russian Jewish immigrant, and the most popular and beloved American entertainer beginning with the movie The Jazz Singer in 1927 and lasting for many decades, was said to be the “king of blackface.” Jolson’s personal feelings and many of his songs were certainly sympathetic to African-Americans. What most people do not know is that Jim Crow laws first originated in Northern States. Northern Jim Crow Laws were the model for Southern States following the ruin, corruption, and oppression of Reconstruction. As author C. Vann Woodward has stated, “Jim Crow has had a strange career.”

Marxist Persecution of Christianity

Russian History that Americans Must Learn
Marxism is anti-Christian at its very core. Following the failure of Marxism to sweep Europe after World War I and the Russian Revolution, Marxist leadership concluded that Marxism could never dominate and flourish where Christian churches were strong. Hence they have doubled down on undermining, uprooting, and destroying Christianity. The trend toward social Marxism versus the older more purely economic Marxism was thus born. In its strategic path to power, social Marxism undermines every aspect of a target culture, usually leading with control of the media and education establishments, and then government, but ultimately targeting all free speech and even free thought. The ultimate Marxist enemy is truth and especially the spiritual truth of Christianity and divine universal reality.

Has Uncontrolled Migration Brought France to Brink of Civil War?
On April 21, twenty retired French generals published an open letter in the French magazine Valeurs Actuelles (Current Values) to the French government and political establishment, warning of imminent civil war due to uncontrolled immigration and increasing domestic jihadism. It was supported by 100 other senior military officers and more than a thousand other members of the French military. A Harris Interactive Survey by LCI Television found that 58 percent of the French public supports the claims of these officers. Forty-five percent agreed that France is indeed on the brink of civil war. Forty-nine percent are ready for the Army to intervene now—without government request. Other polls indicate the French public is very concerned about the growing cultural Marxism, runaway multiculturalism, and expansion of Muslim no-go zones in France.- Hits: 1534

How “White Supremacy” Was Born and Repainted
The South was as devastated during the Civil war of 1861 to 1865 as much as any nation in the annals of warfare. By the end of the war, more than 250,000 Confederate soldiers, one out of every four white men, had been killed or died of wounds or disease. In addition, at least 50,000 Southern civilians died. Over 40 percent of private property including homes, businesses, livestock, and crops had been destroyed. In South Carolina, where Sherman’s men had burned the capitol city of Columbia, over 50 percent of private property was destroyed. Most of this property damage was deliberately inflicted on the civilian population to deny the Confederate Army the logistical means of resistance, but also to demoralize their families and supporters at home. It was ordered in cold calculation by Northern political and military leadership and often executed with self-righteous religious zeal or criminal abandon. Neither Christian teachings nor modern Geneva Conventions condone such total war. Reconstruction was an extension of that total war by political means.

Why Social Justice Is Not Biblical Justice

Neo-Marxist Subversion of Christianity
Last year, 2020, Scott David Allen published an eye-opening and insightful book on the cultural Marxist subversion of Christian churches and institutions and Christian understanding of justice. Theologian Wayne Grudem called, Why Social Justice Is Not Biblical Justice, a truth-filled “warning about the deeply anti-Christian ideas behind much of the modern ‘social justice’ movement.”Baptist pastor Tom Ascol, president of Foundation Ministries, wrote that “The modern social justice movement is a Trojan Horse that is being welcomed into many evangelical camps with the kind of fanfare that would make the citizens of Troy blush. Under the pretense of loving one’s neighbor and pursuing justice, ideologies that are contrary to the way of Christ are being employed to set agendas for and shape the consciences of evangelicals. Because biblical words are being used, what the Bible means by those words is assumed and that [false] assumption is wreaking havoc on sound Christian thinking and healthy Christian living.”
