Subsidies for Carolina Panthers: A losing game for S.C. taxpayers?
- By Rick Brundrett - The Nerve
At the end of the 2014 regular legislative session, lawmakers slipped in a budget proviso funneling $75,000 through the state tourism agency for the Carolina Panthers’ summer training camp at Wofford College in Spartanburg.
Then-Gov. Nikki Haley vetoed the proviso, writing in her June 11, 2014, veto message, “The National Football League is an enormously successful multi-billion dollar organization and we’re proud to host the Panthers’ training camp in Spartanburg, but it’s hard to imagine they need $75,000 from South Carolina’s taxpayers.”

Sweet Womb Alabama
- By Tony Perkins - Family Research Council
It’s the state of Selma, of Martin Luther King Jr. It was where Rosa Parks took a stand by taking a seat. Now, that same Alabama isn’t just home to the civil rights movement, but a human rights movement. And liberals couldn’t be more irate. That’s because this bill isn’t about ending abortion in Dixie. It’s about ending abortion period.

Journalist and Author Alex Newman Speaks in Columbia Event: "Rescuing Our Children"
- By April Few
Columbia, SC – There is a reason the Deep State globalists sound so confident about the success of their agenda - they have a secret weapon: More than 85% of American children are being indoctrinated by radicalized government schools. In this explosive talk, Alex Newman exposes the insanity that has taken over the public school system. From the sexualization of children and the re-shaping of values to deliberate dumbing down, Newman shows how dangerous this threat is -- not just to our children -- but to the future of faith, family, and freedom. More importantly, he shares what you and every American can do about it.

Alyssa Milano's Not-So-Lucky Strike
- By Tony Perkins
The former star of "Who's the Boss?" wants to make it clear who isn't the boss of women's bodies. But Alyssa Milano's idea for protesting Georgia's new pro-life law has only proven one thing: Just because Hollywood takes a side doesn't mean they understand the issue.
"Our reproductive rights are being erased," Milano tweeted Friday. "Until women have legal control over our own bodies, we just cannot risk pregnancy. JOIN ME by not having sex until we get bodily autonomy back." When word of her #SexStrike started making the social media rounds, the blowback was amazingly universal. People on both sides of the political aisle -- women, especially -- could hardly contain their irritation (if they were liberal) or laughter (if they were conservative).
