A few days before last week's election, Bernie Sanders issued a dire warning to voters: "If Donald Trump is elected, the struggle against climate change is over."
He had that right.
Climate change fanaticism was effectively on the ballot last week. The green energy agenda was decisively defeated.
It turns out that the tens of millions of middle-class Americans who voted for Trump weren't much interested in the temperature of the planet 50 years from now. They're too busy trying to pay the bills.

The Senior Executive Service (SES) class of federal employees was created under President Carter through the passage of the Civil Service Reform Act of 1978. The SES was established to “...ensure that the executive management of the Government of the United States is responsive to the needs, policies, and goals of the Nation and otherwise is of the highest quality.” Another Carter-created component of the State, as is the Department of Education. The SES employees were supposed to ensure top performances in all the various agencies. That was the theory, but the reality is something entirely different, as is so often the case with these initiatives such as the “Department of Homeland Security”.

I was led to pen the thoughts below due to a writing submitted by a 22-year-old lady who just resigned her corporate position. As she wrote on a professional site to which we both belong, I was moved by her accomplishments but as she relayed, they were at some personal cost given the number of hours and numerous on-call expectations she was expected to work. One of her statements particularly caught my attention, "take a break when you deserve it, only do stuff you're passionate about and learn." Her insight and ownership of what she was becoming reminded me of some life lessons I learned as one proceeds down the path of living, accomplishing, promotions and recognitions amid life's setbacks. I was sincerely fortunate to have the below life lessons taught as I approached my high school years, and then interestingly enforced during four years at a high-ranking military academy. To begin with there is finite, human "scientific" evidence, even without infinite, heavenly Biblical “truth”, to support the conclusion that distinctively “individual" and “unique” human being life begins at flesh conception. Instantly at conception an individual human “embryo” has received all its DNA composition from each human parent. That DNA in its composition is unique from every other human DNA composition on the planet, except possibly identical twins conceived with the same single identical sperm and the same identical egg. The DNA composition of the human embryo is also uniquely different from its parents. It is not simply an extension of its mother’s DNA or its father’s DNA. Activity in human cell division begins immediately. The embryo is “alive” and “actively moving, growing and developing.” It needs protection from a loving parent, not death.

Former President Donald Trump has won the 2024 presidential election, as a coalition of evangelical, pro-life Christians, parents, Hispanics, and others carried him to victory over Vice President Kamala Harris and into a second term he promised will become “the golden age of America.”
President Trump outperformed every metric of the 2016 and 2020 elections as he held traditional Republican states, prevailed in a majority of battleground states, and raised a red column deep inside the Democrats’ blue wall. Trump exceeded the 270 Electoral College votes needed to win the presidency by dominating the swing states of Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia, and Wisconsin. Implications for the 2024 Election
The World Population Review recently published online the latest Pew Research Center Survey on religion in the United States. The subjects of the survey were asked four questions of self-assessment” belief in God, importance of religion, frequency of prayer, and religion attendance. The great majority designated as religious are Christians. Islam is a factor of about 1.5% overall, and about eight states have Muslim populations of 2-4 percent.

Just before 8 a.m. on that Sunday morning, hundreds of Japanese fighter planes descended on the base, where they managed to destroy or damage nearly 20 American naval vessels, including eight battleships, and over 300 airplanes.
