D.C. Statehood A Play to Maintain Senate
- By Eagle Forum
It appears the Democrat majority in Congress will stop at almost nothing to ensure their majority remains a majority. Last Fall it was packing the Supreme Court and today, it is legislation to make D.C. (and other territories) a state.
With a population of about seven hundred thousand, it may seem logical that D.C. should become a state with representation in both the lower and upper chambers. In fact, it simply is not Constitutional to make it a state. Article I, Section 8, Clause 17 enables Congress to govern the District of Colombia. Our Founders envisioned the location of the Federal government to be an independent entity outside of another state. In doing so, the Founders sought to prevent D.C. from pressures and influence by one state government rather than another.
Senators Keep Tight Control Over County Magistrates
- By Rick Brundrett - The Nerve
If there’s one power that S.C. senators likely will never relinquish – at least willingly – it’s their control over the selection of the state’s more than 300 county magistrates.
Magistrates, who handle traffic tickets and other relatively minor criminal and civil cases, know how much authority senators can exercise even after their judicial terms expire. Under a loophole in state law known as “holdover status,” magistrates can continue to serve indefinitely past their official terms – and feel more pressure to cater to their local senators.
Biden Bids Farewell to a 'Forever War'
- By Pat Buchanan
"It is time to end the forever war."
So said President Joe Biden in his announcement that, as of Sept. 11, the 20th anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon, all U.S. troops will be gone from Afghanistan.
The longest war in our history, which cost 2,400 dead, 20,000 wounded and $2 trillion, is ending -- but only for Americans, not Afghans.
Secretary of State Antony Blinken assured our NATO allies in Brussels that we are all leaving with our mission accomplished:
Paycheck Fairness Hurts Women’s Flexibility and Work-life Balance

The Democrats of the 117th Congress are again attempting the passage of another “equality” bill. This time, it’s the Paycheck Fairness Act or H.R. 7.
According to the House Committee on Education and Labor, the H.R. 7 attempts to end gender-based wage discrimination by:

Tell Your Senators to Stop the For the People Act
- By Richard Harris, Executive Director, Truth & Liberty Coalition
Liberals in Congress are trying to ram through a bill that will destroy our ability to have fair elections. The so-called For the People Act (S 1, 2021) is probably one of the most dangerous pieces of legislation in American history.
Instead of the "For the People Act," it should be called the "One Party Takeover of American Government Act," or, as Sen. Ted Cruz put it, "The Corrupt Politicians Act."

America's Media-Poisoned Well
- By Michelle Malkin
It's springtime in America. In halcyon days, we'd ring in the new season with fresh starts and fragrant flowers. But in 2021, the arrival of April now ushers in yet another cycle of destructive urban riots -- stoked and coddled by toxic journalists downplaying left-wing violence and demonizing all who dare call out the ruinous, race-based chaos for what it is.
On Monday, as vandals and looters tore apart Minneapolis again in the wake of a cop-involved shooting, a suburban police chief tried to report on the dangerous conditions outside his station.
Gov. Hutchinson's Distortion of President Reagan
- By Star Parker
Republican Gov. Asa Hutchinson of Arkansas raised ire from conservatives for vetoing legislation passed by the Arkansas state legislature that would have banned "gender-affirming" medical treatment for transgender minors.
This includes treatment such as hormone therapy, puberty blockers and surgery associated with gender identity.
The legislature then overrode Hutchinson's veto, making Arkansas the nation's first state to ban these procedures.

Arizona, Georgia Double-Team on Woke Sports
- By Tony Perkins - Family Research Council
It'll be months before Major League Baseball knows how much its decision to move Atlanta's All-Star Game cost them financially. Fortunately, Americans won't have to wait nearly that long to understand how much it hurt the MLB politically. Thanks to Governor Doug Ducey (R-Ariz.), they already know. If the goal of MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred and his liberal pals was to scare other states into submission, Arizona's new law makes it quite clear: he's already failed.

Remembering Ernie Pyle (A Man of Whom Most Have Never Heard)
- By W.H. Lamb
As I recall, April 12, 1945 was a mild and sunny day in the west side suburb of Cleveland, Ohio where I lived in those long-gone days. World War 11 (that’s “2” for those of you who are Roman numeral “impaired”) was still raging across the Pacific region of the world, even while it appeared to have almost ended in Europe. I was a typical almost nine-year-old in those wonderful times, outside most of the day (except during the coldest days of winter), playing baseball almost every day during the summer, riding my bike, and interacting with my neighborhood “gang” of six or eight preteen guys just like me. If you’ve ever seen that great film, “A Christmas Story”, you’ll know exactly how much of my childhood was spent. Exactly! The author of that book could have been a member of my “gang”. (And yes, I DID drink “Ovaltine”, I DID listen to ‘Little Orphan Annie” on the radio, and I DID have one of her “decoder rings”.)
China’s Plan to Defeat America
- By Mike Scruggs
Ominous Threats to Peace and Freedom
One of the best books for understanding the Chinese Communist Party’s plan to replace the United States as the world’s greatest superpower is Michael Pillsbury’s 2014 book, The Hundred-Year Marathon: China’s Secret Strategy to Replace America as the Global Superpower. Its title alone reveals the two most important characteristics of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in military, economic, and diplomatic strategy: long-term patience and deception. Bill Gertz’s 2019 book, Deceiving the Sky: Inside Communist China’s Drive for Global Supremacy, reveals the CCP’s astonishing deception, lies, and theft in advancing its technological means for becoming the dominant world power. Stephen W. Mosher’s 2017 book, Bully of Asia: Why China’s Dream is the New Threat to World Order, is absolutely frightening. Its title reminds me of a former Air Force POW in North Vietnam, who gave me his very succinct description of Communism: “They are just bullies.” Larry Arnn, President of Hillsdale College, described Mosher’s book very appropriately in a brief review, explaining “why China’s Dream is the world’s nightmare.”Keep America Free!
- By Frank Raddish - Founder/Director Capitol Hill Independent Baptist Ministries
Joe Biden, during his Easter address, was too cowardly to acknowledge the resurrection of Jesus Christ, because he was afraid to offend the false religions in this country. He has on more than one occasion defended the wicked religion of Islam. Sad to say, we have two radical Muslim reprobates serving in Congress that the Democrats protect at every turn. These two women should have already been charged by the Ethics Committee for their racist, anti-Semitic remarks and removed from their committee assignments. President Donald Trump, on the other hand highly recognized the Lord Jesus both on Resurrection Day and Christmas. He returned America to honoring the God of heaven and earth as our forefathers once did.
Biden’s Bridges to Nowhere
- By Eagle Forum
Recently, President Biden rolled out his American Jobs Plan, also known as his infrastructure plan. However, there was one glaring thing missing: infrastructure. Instead, he focused on policies that allow the federal government to encroach on our lives, depress the economy, and make the job-creators pay for it.
Libs' Infrastructure: a Bridge to Nowhere
- By Tony Perkins - Family Research Council
If arts funding is "COVID relief," then it's no surprise that child care is "infrastructure." In the Democrats' lexicon -- where abortion is "health care," election reform is "racism," and social justice is a "public works" project -- the fact that Joe Biden is trying to reimagine another word to fit his agenda is just par for their delusional course. The Left played this same trick on the American people in February, Cameron Hilditch warns, shoe-horning every radical priority under the sun into "coronavirus response." Politically, it's very "clever," he agrees. Practically, it shouldn't stand a chance.

Changing Republican Customs and Traditions
- By Michael LaPierre
What do DrewMcKissick’s NEWSMAX article and outgoing GCGOP Chairman Nate Leupp’s “MESSAGE FROM CHAIRMAN LEUPP” have in common? Thereis not one mention of the Creator, Sustainer, and Governor of the nations. Botharticles are filled with self-adulation and self-promotion. There is not even aceremonial “Deus ex machina.” Jesus Christ our Lord and God Almighty are not evenmentioned. In my opinion, that is NOT the type of leadership that we need in Greenville(District 4) or in South Carolina.

Senator: Lawmakers Left Out of Loop on Leatherman’s $550M Bond Proposal
- By Rick Brundrett - The Nerve
Claiming that many lawmakers had little or no notice of a $550 million taxpayer-backed bond plan for projects at the Port of Charleston, a senator has proposed expanding the Ports Authority governing board to include the heads of the state Commerce and Transportation departments.
Besides making Commerce secretary Bobby Hitt and DOT secretary Christy Hall voting members of the current nine-member Ports Authority Board of Directors, the bill, sponsored by Sen. Sandy Senn, R-Charleston, would allow the two agency heads to attend closed board sessions.
Voter ID Denial, Slavery and Abortion Are Identity Theft
- By Alveda King
In the 20th century and during the days of slavery in the 19th century and the 18th century, slaves and indentured Blacks were robbed of precious identities.
Today, when you say to me as a citizen of the United States of America, "You don't need to have an ID to vote," you are saying to me, your identity does not matter. You don't need to know who you are, just show up, vote my agenda, and I will stir your emotions, your fear, keep you in the dark, and continue to suppress your civil rights. I will call the privilege of your having ID and knowing who you are 'voter suppression.'"
