Dates Set For NGU’s iNGenUity Summer Camps

Tigerville, SC – North Greenville University’s School of Theatre will hold its annual iNGenUity summer camps June 17-21.
The Novice/Intermediate Camp will be offered to students age 9 and up and the Pre-College Intensive Camp is available for students 13 and up. The camps will take place Monday-Friday, June 17-21 from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m and offer instruction in acting, movement, dance, stage make-up, costuming, improv, and more.

Bob Jones University to Host Spring Conference Series

Bob Jones University will host a two-part spring conference series Feb. 11-15 on the BJU campus.
The series begins with the BJU Seminary’s annual CoRE (Connect. Renew. Equip.) Conference, Feb. 11-12. Presenters will focus on equipping churches, schools and other ministries regarding current issues such as same-sex attraction, pornography and gender confusion.

NGU to Host Free Mental Health First Aid Training to Public Safety Officials

Upstate SC Part of National Initiative to Increase Mental Health Literacy
Tigerville, SC – (January 31, 2019) On Feb. 22, 2019, North Greenville University (NGU) will host a free Mental Health First Aid training at its Tim Brashier Campus at 405 Lancaster Avenue in Greer. This groundbreaking eight-hour training course gives people the tools to identify when someone might be struggling with a mental health or substance use problem and to connect them with appropriate support and resources when necessary.

BJU School of Education Hosts Chinese Educators

The Bob Jones University School of Education, in partnership with Bob Jones Academy (BJA) and BJU Press, is hosting an intensive educational advancement program for nearly 50 Chinese educators Jan.22 through Feb. 1.
Designed to develop an international relationship with Chinese educators, the program provides practical and meaningful education training. In sessions with BJU Press speakers and writers, Chinese educators are learning how to use BJU Press products, classroom management skills, and technology in their classroom.

Bob Jones University to Serve as Training Site for Greenville Triumph

Bob Jones University will serve as the training site for the Greenville Triumph Soccer Club under a partnership reached between the university and the club, the team, and school have announced.
The club will utilize the soccer fields as well as dedicated space to house a locker room, coaching offices and a players' lounge. The Triumph and BJU are finalizing plans for improvements to the space to better serve both the club and the university's athletic programs.

Washington Center's Environmentally Friendly Seagull Sustainability Shop

Washington Center’s Adaptive Environmental Science teacher, Jamie Taber was awarded the Champion of the Environment major grant winner, receiving $2,400 for establishing the school’s Sustainable Seagulls project. The project focuses on teaching students to reduce waste through upcycling, turning “trash into treasure,” to help reduce the carbon footprint. Through the grant an online and in-house store, Seagull Sustainability Shop in which plants and edible greens are raised and sold to help raise funds for the school. Art teacher, Amanda Wakely also contributes to the project by helping students to turn recycled items into handmade crafts. A commercial will soon be aired in Columbia, SC featuring this project!
