Four Stupid Ideas that Didn’t Work
The U.S. Congress has since February 2022 authorized at least $115 billion for military and other government aid to Ukraine. In fact, there seem to be no precise statistics and little accountability. Moreover, the narrative on the purpose of the war is counterfactual to its well-documented historical background and critical events over more than 30 years and especially those associated with the revolutionary coup of 2014 that started a conflict killing over 14,000 people before February 2022.

Victoria Nuland and the Ukraine War Project
Acting Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland.
On July 28, President Joe Biden nominated U.S. Under Secretary of State Victoria Nuland for Deputy Secretary of State. She replaces Wendy Sherman, who retired the same day and had served the Biden Administration in that position since April 2021. This would make Nuland the second highest ranking power in the State Department, next only to Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.

A Historical Perspective on American Slavery
Slavery is one of those subjects of American history that is highly charged emotionally and wrapped in the sensitivities of both historical and modern political agendas. Any discussion of slavery is unfortunately very much bound by the chains of modern political correctness and woke cancel-culture. This severely hinders a historically accurate and realistic perspective on American slavery. Unvarnished and uninhibited truth on this important aspect of American history is sorely needed.
The image of American slavery in the minds of most people today is one of chains, bullwhips, cruelty, and arrogant human abuse. This was often true of the transportation of slaves associated with the slave trade but was largely untrue of the practice of slavery on American shores. The actual practice of slavery in America was in the vast majority of cases considerably more benign than its modern image. There were, of course, many inherent flaws in slavery as a social and economic system that limited social and economic justice and opportunity. Some inexcusable human abuses did occur under American slavery and should not be condoned, but such abuses were far less common than generally assumed. Even Harriet Beecher Stowe’s Uncle Tom’s Cabin, based principally on accounts of runaway slaves, Southern newspaper records of slave masters prosecuted by Southern state governments, and only very limited firsthand familiarity with the South, gives a more balanced picture of slavery than the common modern image.

Background the Media Never Told You
Vilnius is the capital of Lithuania, and Lithuania is a NATO nation on the southern coast of the Baltic Sea bordering Poland, Latvia, Belarus, and Russia (Kaliningrad, formerly part of German East Prussia). It has a Baltic Sea maritime border with Sweden. The population of Lithuania is only about 2.9 million, but from 1219 to 1569 its much extended borders formed the largest state in Europe. From 1569 to 1772 it was part of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. Western Ukraine was included in the territory of both those states. Lithuania was part of the Russian Empire from 1775 to 1918, when it became an independent republic. The Soviet Union attempted to invade Finland in November 1939 and forced Finland to cede 9 percent of its territory in March 1940. The Soviet Union occupied Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia in June 1940. Lithuania was a Soviet Socialist Republic from 1944 to 1990. Vilnius has a population of about 600,000 and a metro-area of 900,000. It is one of the cultural capitals of Europe.

The Fruits of Liberal Immigration Policy
France has frequently been the scene of burning cars, burning buildings, violent riots, and murderous attacks on individuals and crowds in the last two decades. Many suburbs of Paris have become lawless “no-go” zones even for police. Many are subject to the “alternative laws” of drug kingpins and Muslim imams. As in many other European countries, this has been closely associated with excessive and uncontrolled immigration. In many Western European countries and the United States and Canada, insane unvetted immigration has become a sacred cow, which cannot be challenged without the wrath of deranged social justice proctors in academia, the media, and government. Moreover, the politics of the countries afflicted with such social mayhem begin to change with the influence of the new largely unassimilated immigrant voters, making corrective immigration reform more and more difficult until reform is impossible and utter chaos or revolutionary government destroys freedom, security, and any traditional and rational sense of right and wrong.
