Greenville County May Save $100 Million Dollars
- By Willis Meadows
On Friday, May 17, 2019, six members of Greenville County Council unveiled a plan to relocate the County Office building rather than build a new building at the present County Square location. The cost of the relocation of the County and State offices would be $63.9 million. That is over $100 million less than the presently proposed redevelopment plan for County Square.
It is proposed that County Offices be moved to the former Fluor building at 350 /352 Halton Road. The price for purchase, upgrading and adding 10,000 square feet to the building would be $33.5 million.

Subsidies for Carolina Panthers: A losing game for S.C. taxpayers?
- By Rick Brundrett - The Nerve
At the end of the 2014 regular legislative session, lawmakers slipped in a budget proviso funneling $75,000 through the state tourism agency for the Carolina Panthers’ summer training camp at Wofford College in Spartanburg.
Then-Gov. Nikki Haley vetoed the proviso, writing in her June 11, 2014, veto message, “The National Football League is an enormously successful multi-billion dollar organization and we’re proud to host the Panthers’ training camp in Spartanburg, but it’s hard to imagine they need $75,000 from South Carolina’s taxpayers.”

Sweet Womb Alabama
- By Tony Perkins - Family Research Council
It’s the state of Selma, of Martin Luther King Jr. It was where Rosa Parks took a stand by taking a seat. Now, that same Alabama isn’t just home to the civil rights movement, but a human rights movement. And liberals couldn’t be more irate. That’s because this bill isn’t about ending abortion in Dixie. It’s about ending abortion period.
