EPA Delivers On President Trump’s Promise To Allow Year-Round Sale Of E15 Gasoline And Improve Transparency In Renewable Fuel Markets
- By EPA
WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Andrew Wheeler signed the final action that would remove the key regulatory barrier to using gasoline blended with up to 15% ethanol (E15) during the summer driving season and reform the renewable identification number (RIN) compliance system under the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) program to increase transparency and deter price manipulation. Taken together, these steps follow through on the Trump Administration’s commitment to responsible environmental protection that promotes energy independence, regulatory reform, and increasing the use of biofuels to give consumers more choices, while supporting American farmers.

Fixing SC’s bad roads, bridges could take longer than a decade
- By Rick Brundrett - The Nerve
The S.C. Department of Transportation wants to fix the state’s bad roads and bridges over a 10-year period, but it might not hit that target at the rate projects are being completed, a review by The Nerve found.
From July 1, 2017, when the gas-tax-hike law took effect, through April of this year, DOT says it completed $47.5 million in projects, according to its most recently released records. That amount is just 4.7% of the $1 billion in road and bridge work statewide that DOT has identified, and the completed projects were done over 22 months, which represents 18 percent of the 10-year plan.

A Parson of Influence on Life
- By Tony Perkins - Family Research Council
It helps Republicans. No, it helps Democrats. When it comes to the surge of pro-life bills in the states, the media can't seem to decide which party has the momentum. But in places like Missouri, the political benefits are the last thing on anyone's minds. If you ask leaders like Governor Mike Parson (R-Mo.), there's only one group of people they care about helping with their legislation: moms and their unborn.

Orchard Suit Plants Doubts about Bogren
- By Tony Perkins - Family Research Council
You will know them by their fruits, Matthew 7:20 says. And in the case of a Michigan orchard farm, that seems especially true of the man picking the fight. Attorney Michael Bogren says he was just doing his job in court when he compared a Christian couple to the KKK for believing in natural marriage. But now that he’s up for a lifetime promotion, Senator Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) wants to know: Just how much of “that job” will he be bringing to the federal bench?

- By SCGOP
SCGOP Chairman, Drew McKissick, released the following statement regarding the decision announced today by Lancaster County Clerk of Court, Jeff Hammond, to switch to the Republican Party.
“As chairman of the South Carolina Republican Party, I am pleased to welcome Lancaster County Clerk of Court, Jeff Hammond, to the Republican Party. Our party is one built on inclusiveness, family values and conservative principles- all of which Jeff is well known for. As Jeff stated when announcing his decision to switch parties, the Democratic party has swung so far to the left that sensible members who have stood with them for decades are now bolting. We look forward to welcoming more conservative Democrats into our party as they come to fully understand just how extreme their party has become.”

USDA Announces Support for Farmers Impacted by Unjustified Retaliation and Trade Disruption
- By USDA
Washington, D.C. – U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue today announced that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) will take several actions to assist farmers in response to trade damage from unjustified retaliation and trade disruption. President Trump directed Secretary Perdue to craft a relief strategy to support American agricultural producers while the Administration continues to work on free, fair, and reciprocal trade deals to open more markets in the long run to help American farmers compete globally. Specifically, the President has authorized USDA to provide up to $16 billion in programs, which is in line with the estimated impacts of unjustified retaliatory tariffs on U.S. agricultural goods and other trade disruptions. These programs will assist agricultural producers while President Trump works to address long-standing market access barriers.
