Three Media Leaders, Dr. Alveda King, Destiny Yarbrough, and Day Gardner, Team Up to Bring 'The Vision' to Life in an Upcoming Christian TV Talk Show, Set to Air on WATC TV 57, Early February 2024
ATLANTA -- Dr. Alveda King, American activist, host of "Alveda King's House" on Fox Nation, and author of several books including "GGs Home for the Holidays" cookbook, and Destiny Yarbrough, television producer, TV host, author, speaker, and Atlanta Connect Leader for Christian Women in Media, both executive producers of the show, and Day Gardner, former Miss America contestant, will team up to release "The Vision," a Christian TV talk show with relevant guests and current topics from fashion, food, and health to black history and topics of liberty. The show will run on WATC TV 57, All Nation's TV, Faith Unveiled, World Trumpet Television, Abundant TV, and Taken networks, at 11:30 a.m. EST, beginning early February 2024.
"Some have a view, we have a vision," said Dr. Alveda King, "emphasizing that the show is based on the Bible verse Habakkuk 2:2, which reads: Christ followers are to 'write the vision, and make it plain upon tablets, that he may run that readeth it.'"
Inspired by her (late) grandfather, who emphasized the importance of having a vision, King placed the wisdom on a shelf for about ten years while serving as former state representative and activist but knew that one day it would have a special purpose.
"It is all in God's timing when things are released, and the time to inspire others with their vision, is now," said Day Gardner.
"The Vision" will be an informal Christian TV talk show featuring hosts such as Dr. Alveda King, "Alveda King's House;" Destiny Yarbrough, "DestinyX TV;" Day Gardner, national pro-life advocate, and civil rights activist; Katie Holmes, reigning Pure International title holder, author, speaker; Ginger Howard, business proprietor, author, and political leader; and Dr. Sherida Lovelace, "Triumphant" radio host, author, and ministry leader.
"It's important to catch God's vision and step into the vision He has for them," Yarbrough said about the much-anticipated show, and how it will impact viewers. "People without a vision stay stagnant and don't advance in God's kingdom. We hope the television show will inspire them to catch the vision God has for their lives."
As an additional early holiday present, and to inspire viewers to catch the vision, a special Holiday Cooking show, produced and hosted by King and Yarbrough, will premiere on WATC TV 57, Friday, December 15, 2023, at 11:30 a.m. It is an intimate look at personal recipes included in King's cookbook, "GGs Home for the Holidays" (Available on Amazon).
King selected a menu of shrimp cocktail, wedge salad, rack of lamb, sweet potato, broccolini, and a dessert of trifle, which is enjoyed by hosts of the holiday special, including the producers, and, also, Ginger Howard, a host of the upcoming "The Vision," and Denise Armstrong, Christian actress, inspiring others to make time for friendship, food, and gratitude during the busy holiday season.
