LITITZ, Penn. — In just nine months, more than three-quarters of a billion online searches led people around the world to an invitation to meet Jesus through the Word of God, according to new data from The Pocket Testament League (PTL).
From October 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, PTL’s digital outreach appeared in more than 750 million online searches. Nearly 9 million people responded by downloading the Gospel of John through PTL’s READ CARRY SHARE® app, averaging approximately 1 million downloads each month.
Since its launch in late 2020, READ CARRY SHARE® has recorded more than 30 million Gospel of John downloads worldwide. With nearly one-third occurring in just the most recent nine-month period, the accelerating pace points to growing spiritual hunger and an increasing number of people turning to digital platforms to explore Scripture.
At the current pace, PTL’s digital Gospel invitations could appear in approximately 1 billion searches over a 12-month period.
“The numbers are extraordinary, but what matters most is the person behind every search,” said David Collum, CEO of The Pocket Testament League. “Every search represents someone looking for something. We have an incredible opportunity to meet people in those moments with a simple invitation to meet Jesus through His Word.”
The data shows particularly strong engagement across South Asia, Africa and the Middle East. India recorded more than 3.68 million Gospel of John downloads, followed by Bangladesh with nearly 1.48 million. Significant engagement was also recorded in Sudan, Nepal, Algeria, Iran, Afghanistan, Yemen, Pakistan, Ethiopia, Cuba and Iraq.
For The Pocket Testament League, this digital response extends a mission that began more than 130 years ago: inviting everyone to meet Jesus through the Word of God.
Since 1893, PTL has equipped Christians to personally share the Gospel of John. Today, that invitation continues through printed Gospels and the READ CARRY SHARE® app.
Together, PTL has invited more than 200 million people to meet Jesus. Over the next three years, the ministry aims to invite 100 million more.
