The Basis For the 4.5 billion Year Figure for the Age of the Earth

You have probably heard the claim that the earth has been scientifically demonstrated to be 4.5 billion years old. What is often not included in that reference is what that figure is based on. After all the earth does not come with a tag saying made by natural processes 4.5 billion BC. It turns out that the theory behind it is not only completely naturalistic, but it is based on a theory of geology that excludes the Genesis Flood and Biblical Creation. It is based on a very specific model of how the earth came into existence and if that model is wrong, which is the case if the Bible is true, then so is this date. in fact, the original paper sort of admits to it.
Radiometric Dating

Radiometric dating is the effort to try to use radioactive isotopes of various elements as a way of dating an object usually a rock. The most notable exception is carbon14 dating, which is used on organic samples, specifically samples that were once alive. Radiometric dating is the primary method used for dating the earth in parts of it that are thought to be millions or billions of years old. Despite the fact that it is frequently touted as being airtight in its dating there are a number of assumptions that are behind these methods. But even worse any date can be dismissed if it does not match up with what the evolutionary geological timescale dictates.
Carbon 14 dating

Carbon14 dating is a common method of radiometric dating used for dating organic material. Not only does this method of radiometric dating not proven old earth, in many ways it goes against it. Furthermore, it is a method of dating that would have been easily and naturally disrupted by the Genesis Flood, making arguments against the Flood using carbon14 dates worthless.
The Chromosome 2 Fusion Myth

One of the many genetic differences between humans and apes is that all of the apes have 24 pairs of chromosomes while humans have only 23. As a result, in order for humans to have a common ancestor with apes two smaller ape chromosomes would have to fuse to form our chromosome 2. As result Evolutionists are desperate to try to prove human chromosome 2 fusion theory because without it, their entire world view collapses.
In labeling these chromosomes, you have human chromosome 2 and the corresponding chromosomes of the three great apes are labeled chromosomes 2a and 2b by evolutionists. This this is done based entirely on the presupposition of fusion theory. This also makes good propaganda to convince the unsuspecting not only of human chromosome 2 fusion theory but that we must have a common ancestor with chimpanzees other apes.
98% Similarity with Chimpanzee Myth

You have probably heard the claim that human DNA is 98% similar to that of chimpanzees. However, this is a typical case of scientific reporting being more friendly to evolution than the actual paper. It ignores several factors that the original paper itself mentions that show the claim is bogus as reported.
The 98% similarity figure is based on a comparison only of parts of human and chimpanzee DNA that can be easily aligned. Then counting only those parts that are single nucleotide differences call substitutions you get of about 98% similarity, however it does not end there. When you include insertions and deletions, that is segments where you insert one or more nucleotides or delete one or more nucleotides from the compared sequence then the similarity drops by 3% to give you a similarity of only about 95%. Now this is still quite high, but the propaganda value is reduced greatly.
Legitimately questioning the Bible

The biggest problem associated with questioning the Bible is the tenancy to assume the Bible is wrong unless proven otherwise. Furthermore, that proof is usually based on how well it agrees with a secular perspective. This is definitely not a legitimate way to question the Bible because you are not really giving it a chance. There is a legitimate approach of questioning the Bible but it requires giving the Bible a chance to actually be correct.

Naturally like mitochondrial Eve, not only did do they deny any Biblical connection but they were also surprised by it. According to the Bible, all human beings that have ever lived are descended from one man and one woman. According to universal common descent evolution, this should not be the case. In fact, our species should have evolved with a population of at least a million or so. To the surprise of everyone but Biblical creationists genetic evidence has not only shown that the entire human race is indeed descended from a single woman, but directly measured mutation rates show that she lived about 6,000 years ago. Now of course evolutionists deny the timeline, and they deny that she was the only woman alive, but they are forced to acknowledge her existence even if they push her back more than 100,000 years.
Science by Judicial Decree

If you go to any public school or university, you will find The Big Bang to man evolutionary view of origins it's the only view that you will hear. Efforts to include Biblical creation or even simply the possibility of an intelligent designer have not been just met with criticism in various forms of personal attacks, but actual lawsuits. this has been part of an overall attempt to remove God completely from the schools and from public life. However, this is not how science is supposed to work. Real science allows for the options to be discussed; these lawsuits are effectively science by judicial decree.

One of the major claims frequently made for excluding God from science is that science can only deal with the natural, but God is supernatural. Furthermore, within the scientific establishment, only theories based on absolute naturalism are even considered. Now when you are describing the general workings of nature this is not really a problem, but there are some areas where this philosophy runs into trouble. Furthermore, It is not just strange things that may not even exist such as ghosts and vampires, where this philosophy runs into trouble. However, the ultimate reason for insisting on restricting science to absolute naturalism is to keep God out of the picture entirely. Most importantly there is a fundamental assumption behind this dilemma that is often ignored, and that is that there is a real difference between natural and supernatural.
Planetary magnetic fields and Biblical creation Part 3

In the previous articles in this series, we saw how successful Dr. Russell Humphreys’ Dynamic Decay Theory has been at explaining and predicting the magnetic fields of various planets in the solar system. When combined with the model of the Genesis Flood known as Catastrophic Plate Tectonics the fluctuations described in dynamic decay are themselves explained as a result of accelerated tectonic motion going on within the earth at this time.
The reason for this is that the model shows that the accelerated circular currents in the mantle would be bringing down crustal material much lower than possible standard plate tectonics. The presence of this material has been confirmed by observation to the surprise of secular geologists.

One of the key requirements of the scientific theory is how well it predicts future observations this is one area where Dr. Russell Humphreys’ Dynamic Decay Theory is highly successful. Dr. Humphreys first published this theory before Voyager 2 flew by Uranus and Neptune. He saw an opportunity to make a prediction about the magnetic field of both planets, and he subsequently published the results in the Creation Research Society Quarterly.
The very fact that this theory produced experimentally testable predictions puts the lie to the claim that creationists do not do real science because it demonstrates a prime example of a creationist theory making testable predictions. It is not alone in doing so, but it is an excellent example because of how successful that it has been. It also provides terrific evidence of the explanatory power that creationist theories can have.

One of the earliest arguments against an older earth is the observed fact that the earth magnetic field is decaying. Unfortunately, such early models of the earth's planetary magnetic field did not supply any evidence for a specific age for the earth, only an upward limit. Such early models placed upper limits on the age of the earth at around 12,000 at which point the internal heat of the earth's core from the generating current would be so great that it would blow the earth apart, not to mention that the magnetic field would be stronger than that of a neutron star. That would also make the magnetic field strong enough to kill you by just pulling the iron out of your blood.
They Will not Allow a Divine Foot in the Door

Understanding Uniformitarian Geology

Uniformitarian geology has its origins with Charles Lyell, and others but was most strongly pushed by Lyle. It was an attack on catastrophism and general but specifically the Genesis Flood. Lyell made it clear that he wanted to free geology from it, that is that he wanted to get rid of the Genesis Flood. At the time d Lyell began pushing Uniformitarianism besides the Genesis Flood there was another form of catastrophism that included multiple global catastrophes, in such cases the Genesis Flood was usually considered the most recent. These other catastrophes were considered by proponents of this theory to have been responsible for there being multiple layers. Lyell’s Uniformitarianism attacks the ideas of both single and multiple global catastrophes.
