- By Stefan J. Bos - Chief International Correspondent Worthy News

RIYADH/KYIV/BUDAPEST (Worthy News) – U.S. and Russian delegates wrapped up a day of tense talks on a plan for a ceasefire at sea between Kyiv and Moscow, even as a Russian missile strike in Ukraine wounded scores of people.
Washington hoped Monday’s talks in Saudi Arabia would help pave the way for a broader peace deal to end Europe’s biggest land war since World War Two.
The White House says an initial maritime ceasefire in the Black Sea would allow the free flow of shipping, though the area has not been the location of intense military operations in recent months.
Chief Justice Roberts Can Avert an Impending Constitutional Crisis - But Will He?

For nearly a decade, Democrats have campaigned on little more than the message that President Donald Trump is Adolf Hitler reincarnated. Although Trump won both the electoral and popular votes in November, effectively having been given a mandate from the American people to govern the nation, the old cries of “Dictator!” may soon be heard again from the progressive corners of the nation — unless the U.S. Supreme Court steps in and averts a rapidly approaching constitutional crisis.

(Worthy News)—A spokesperson for the State Department expressed optimism that the end of the war in Ukraine could be imminent, saying on Thursday that Ukraine and Russia are “just a breath away from a full ceasefire” after three years of conflict.
State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce told anchor Nichole Berlie on ‘NewsNation Now,’ “We are just a breath away from a full ceasefire, and then we can begin to talk about not just peace for a week or six months but an enduring peace that the people of Ukraine and Russia and the world can rely on. That is what America has helped facilitate, and that’s what we’re continuing to do each day.”

“The long-awaited abolition of the Department of Education has arrived,” said Eagle Forum President Kris Ullman. “Since the unnecessary creation of the Department in 1979, Eagle Forum has worked to dismantle it and return education policy to where it belongs — to the states and local communities. Thank you, President Trump!”

How did your Representative and Senator score?
Club for Growth is the premier fiscal conservative watchdog in the country, preparing and distributing scorecards based on state legislators voting records for each session. Their 2024 scorecard illustrates two key facts voters in South Carolina must address now and during legislative elections in 2026: The South Carolina Freedom Caucus and its members are leading the way on conservative issues and fighting for a more fiscally sane and responsible future, and the rest of House Republicans voting habits are nearly indiscernible from the Democrats.

Nation ‘passed through valley of shadow of death’ says aid worker as families return to abandoned homes in war zone

SPRINGFIELD, Penn. — Thousands of families who fled Hezbollah’s deadly rocket attacks in war-torn northern Israel are considering returning home this month as a fragile ceasefire with Hamas collapsed in Gaza on Tuesday.
More than 60,000 Israelis were forced to abandon their homes in the north and relocate, leaving behind virtual ghost towns. Now some are looking to return, but the Gaza ceasefire collapse creates more uncertainty about stability on Israel’s northern border with Lebanon.
