Bob Jones University To Postpone 2020 Commencement

Bob Jones University President Steve Pettit announced that the 2020 Commencement Exercises scheduled on Friday, May 8, will be postponed.
“As each day passes by, it has become increasingly evident that we will not be able to hold commencement on May 8,” Pettit said. “It is our desire to commemorate the amazing achievements of the BJU Class of 2020, and we look forward to welcoming them back to campus and scheduling a time to celebrate their accomplishments later this summer.”
As previously announced, BJU will deliver all classes online for the remainder of the spring semester, beginning Monday, March 30 at the conclusion of spring break.

North Greenville University Initiates COVID-19 15-Day Operation Plan

Tigerville, SC – The North Greenville University (NGU) COVID-19 Response Team, in cooperation with senior leadership, implemented a 15-day modified operation plan effective Wednesday, March 18. This plan aligns with the White House 15-day plan released yesterday.
NGU’s mission has always been to graduate transformational leaders for church and society. The University desires to demonstrate the same leadership to its community in this time of crisis and uncertainty being a model for graduates to follow.

Bob Jones University to Move to Online Instruction for Current Semester

To protect the health and safety of students, faculty and staff, Bob Jones University President Steve Pettit announced today that BJU students will finish the Spring 2020 semester online.
University students will attend classes in-person through Friday, March 13, and classes will be suspended next week to provide time for faculty to prepare to teach classes online. Students will participate in spring break and then finish the remaining six weeks of the semester online.

BJU Graphic Design Students Win American Advertising Federation Awards

Seven Bob Jones University graphic design students received awards from the American Advertising Federation (AAF) Greenville chapter at the annual AAF Gala Saturday, Feb. 29.
The American Advertising Awards Competition is a three-tiered national competition conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation. The competition is the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition for both professional and student creative excellence.

BJU Cinema Students Win Awards in National Film Competition

Eight Bob Jones University cinema students were recently recognized at the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) 2020 Christian Media Convention Feb. 26 in Nashville, Tennessee. This is the sixth time BJU students have entered the competition. They have won awards in the film category every year.

BJU Presents Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte

Bob Jones University will present Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s comic opera Cosi fan tutte March 13-14, at 7:30 p.m. in Rodeheaver Auditorium. This adaptation will be set in the 1950s and sung in English.
Cosi fan tutte, which premiered in 1790, explores the relationship complications that result from deceit and trickery. Military officers, Ferrando and Guglielmo, seek to test their fiancées’ faithfulness by pretending to leave for war and then, while in disguise, convincing them to fall for “new” suitors. Hilarity ensues as the men’s hijinks combined with a supporting cast of companions culminates in a double wedding.

NGU Changing Lives Through Athletic Facilities

Tigerville, SC - The newly built George Bomar Family Stadium at Ashmore Park on the North Greenville University (NGU) Tigerville Campus officially opened last weekend when the Division II No. 1 NGU baseball team hosted a weekend series with Emmanuel College. A dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Bomar family, friends, donors, and local dignitaries was held before the noon pitch on Sat. Feb. 29.
