An Important New Book About Reagan and the Presidency
- Details
- By Star Parker
Coincident with the new movie, "Reagan," is the release of an important new book about the Reagan presidency.
Ken Khachigian, chief speechwriter for Ronald Reagan from his presidential campaign in 1980 to the conclusion of his second term in 1988, has just published his memoirs from those years. The book, "Behind Closed Doors: In the Room with Reagan and Nixon," also includes, as noted in the title, time Khachigian worked with President Richard Nixon.
The book starts with his time in the White House at the end of the Nixon presidency and then includes the four years he worked with Nixon after his resignation.

U.S. Sen. Josh Hawley Receives Christian Statesman Honor: 'Faith is what Holds this Country Together'

For 28 years, the Distinguished Christian Statesman Award has spotlighted public servants who actively incorporate faith into their service to the American people

WASHINGTON -- Prominent U.S. Senator Josh Hawley, R-Mo., is joining the ranks of standout elected officials to receive the Distinguished Christian Statesman Award. While accepting the honor at the Museum of the Bible, Sen. Hawley pointed to faith as a unifying force in a nation that's more divided than ever.
"Faith is what holds this country together," Sen. Hawley said. "The Left's attempt to eradicate religion divides America. That's what's divisive. Faith actually is a great unifier in our national life."
Sen. Hawley previously served as Missouri's Attorney General and is recognized as one of the nation's leading constitutional lawyers fighting for people's liberties.
Explain Yourself, Kamala Harris!
- Details
- By David Harsanyi
So we've been through an entire debate, and Kamala Harris still hasn't explained any of her extraordinary policy flip-flops.
I'm sorry, a person can't just wake up one morning and abandon their entire worldview without an explanation. I mean, they can try, but no sensible person would take them seriously. Sure, politicians have been calibrating and triangulating their positions since Pericles. Most have been compelled to explain their ideological evolution -- or have the decency to lie about it. None has ever relied on an army of anonymous campaign flacks to erase a lifetime of positions.
Trump Survives Second Assassination Attempt
- Details
- By S.A. McCarthy - The Washington Stand

As of Sunday evening, former President Donald Trump has survived two assassination attempts. According to the FBI’s Miami field office and the local sheriff’s office, Trump was playing golf in West Palm Beach, Florida, when a gunman poked a rifle through the golf course fence, about 400 yards away from the former president. Secret Service opened fire before the would-be assassin, later identified as Ryan Routh, could manage a shot. Routh is reported to have dropped his gun and fled the scene. He was arrested later by the nearby Martin County Sheriff’s office.
Regarding Routh’s arrest, Martin County Sheriff William Snyder reported, “He never asked, ‘What is this about?’ Obviously, law enforcement with long rifles, blue lights, a lot going on. He never questioned it.”
Springfield, Ohio—Federally Imposed Immigration Disaster

Focusing on Missing Cats and Dogs Misses Much More Important Issues

Springfield, Ohio, is a city in mid-western Ohio that had a population of 59.000 in 2020. But now in 2024, it has in addition 15,000 to 20,000 immigrants from Haiti, and most of these came in 2024. I believe 20,000 is the most credible figure, which continues to grow. At a September 9 City Council meeting, many Springfield residents expressed their outrage at the City Council for agreeing to or letting this happen. The issue of missing pets was far overshadowed by issues of public safety, housing problems, “squatters” infringing on homes, concern for their children, and the burden on education, healthcare, and the tax base. At least one woman said she and her husband have had enough; it was time to leave Springfield. Many others are undoubtedly now thinking of leaving Springfield. She further complained:
The Wonderful Gift of Freedom – Is It Dissipating In Front of Our Eyes? – Pt. 1
- Details
- By W.H. Lamb

God’s Word tells us, in Joel 1:3: “Tell it to your children, and let your children tell it to their children, and their children to the next generation.” This is still excellent advice for Americans today in regards to the topic of ‘freedom’, because if any group of people is in danger of losing the liberties bequeathed to them by their Fore Parents, it is the people of the U.S. It is US! The Founders of the United States were a pretty wise collection of men (aided and encouraged by a wise collection of their wives and mothers, I’m certain). By declaring “Independence” from Mother England they knew they would be considered as traitors to their King and would suffer the consequences should the King’s men catch them. Benjamin Franklin reminded his countrymen (and especially US) that, “Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.” Franklin’s wisdom is doubly true today.

Most people have no idea who Alissa Heinerscheid is, but conservatives should send her a big fat thank-you note. The former marketing VP did more to change the fortunes of consumer activism in this country than anyone ever dreamed. The moment she plastered Dylan Mulvaney’s face on Bud Light’s blue cans, the entire script from the last 20 years flipped. Suddenly, it wasn’t the cocky CEOs of major brands holding all the power — but an army of Americans who, thanks to that six-pack, have brought the entire landscape of corporate America to its knees. And this election is proof.

God of the Gaps Argument

- By Charles Creager, Jr.
Creationists are frequently accused of using a God of the gaps argument. Such an argument boils down to we don't know therefore it must be God. While this kind of thinking has been used in the past and there are some Christians who do use it. It is not used in creation science.
The accusation of making a God of the gaps argument is frequently made by evolutionists anytime a creationist claims that the evidence actually points to God. Now sometimes the accusation is deserved but there are many times when it is not.
FBI: 2nd Assassination Attempt on Donald Trump’s Life Thwarted, Gunman Arrested
- Details
- By Dan McCaleb - Worthy News

U.S. Secret Service agents shot at and later arrested a man with an AK-47 rifle near Donald Trump’s West Palm Beach, Fla., golf club Sunday afternoon while Trump was on the course. The FBI said it is investigating the incident as an attempted assassination of the former president, the second in two months.
Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw said at a news conference that the Secret Service alerted local authorities that shots were fired about 1:30 p.m. Sunday. A Secret Service agent who was monitoring the course a hole ahead of Trump noticed a man with a rifle pointing the barrel through a chain-link fence near shrubbery that surrounds the course, Bradshaw said. The agent fired on the alleged gunman, who was approximately 300 to 500 yards away from the former president. Trump, the Republican nominee for president, was rushed back to the clubhouse in a golf cart and was unharmed.
The 10 Kamala Harris Lies Moderators Let Slide at the ABC News Debate

Presidential debates have often been compared to professional wrestling matches, but the ABC News debate between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris more closely resembled a handicap match, with Trump taking on three opponents at once: Harris and both moderators. As “World News Tonight” anchor David Muir and ABC News Live “Prime” anchor Linsey Davis regularly fact-checked Trump in real time, they allowed Harris to get by with numerous evasions and false statements on such issues as late-term abortions, post-birth executions, government pregnancy monitors, the economy, and haggard canards about “very fine people” at Charlottesville.

Ethical and Financial Implications of any IVF Mandate

In a move that only served to confound pro-life Americans further dismayed over recent statements that his administration will be “great for women and their reproductive rights,” former President Trump announced last week that “your government will pay for — or your insurance company will be mandated to pay for — all costs associated with IVF treatment.”
While the 2024 Republican Platform, written entirely by Trump and his inner circle, already made clear that he supports “policies that advance . . . access to . . . IVF (fertility treatments),” this latest promise to use the heavy hand of the federal government to force taxpayers to fund the contentious procedure may erode support from not only those worried about the millions of embryos destroyed under current IVF practices but fiscal conservatives and libertarians as well. As the Wall Street Journal Editorial Board bluntly put it, “If you think IVF is expensive now, wait until it’s ‘free.’”

Fulton County Sued Again for Refusal to Produce Unsealed Ballots -- Greatest Voting Rights Violation in Georgia History Continues
- Details
- By VoterGA

ATLANTA -- VoterGA co-founder Garland Favorito announced today the filing of another complaint against Fulton County to compel them to produce 2020 election ballots they have concealed from the public for nearly 4 years. Favorito is asking a superior court to immediately enforce his Open Records Requests (ORR) for an independent copy of the 2020 election ballots he has not received even though they have been unsealed.
Election officials and attorneys for the Fulton County Court Clerk have repeatedly assured Superior courts, the State Election Board and the county’s Board of Registration and Elections that the 2020 ballots are being preserved. And yet, when Favorito submitted an ORR for a standard 600 DPI copy of the ballots made independently of the Dominion voting system he received a reply from the Elections division stating: "There are no responsive documents to your request." A second reply directly to the Clerk of the Court was never answered.
Hey Kamala, Where Are Your Spending Cuts?
- Details
- By Stephen Moore
In 1982 the federal budget deficit rose above $100 billion for the first time (those were the good old days!), and then-President Ronald Reagan agreed to an infamous budget deal with then-House Speaker Tip O'Neill. Democrats would agree to $3 of spending cuts for every $1 of tax increases. Reagan foolishly agreed to the deal. The taxes went up. The spending cuts never materialized.
Reagan used to fume for the rest of his presidency, "I'm still waiting for those $3 of spending cuts."
Back then Democrats at least pretended they would cut spending. Democratic presidential candidate Michael Dukakis pledged in 1988 that he would "only raise taxes as a last resort."
Christian Europe and the Providential Conquest of the American Indian

It is time – high time -- to say goodbye to unearned white guilt. The day of everlasting repentance is over.
As C.S. Lewis noted, the Providential reason for true philosophy is to correct false philosophy. And true political philosophy, a philosophy of true or ordered liberty and race realism, calls for the correction of brainless liberal and wicked Marxist egalitarian mis-interpretations of history. And since social, economic, and political policy is rooted in historical understanding or misunderstanding, the future of all humanity, in a nuclear age, now hinges on such correction.

‘A New Way Forward’? Harris Campaign (Finally) Announces 2024 Policies
- Details
- By Ben Johnson - The Washington Stand

One day ahead of her debate with former President Donald Trump, Vice President Kamala Harris has unveiled a policy agenda that could compel Christian businesses to participate in abortion and LGBT events that violate biblical morality, sign a national abortion expansion bill, pack the Supreme Court, give amnesty to the entire illegal immigrant population of the United States, strip law-abiding U.S. citizens of their Second Amendment rights without due process, double-down on inflationary economic policies, continue criminal lawfare against Trump, and promote universal daycare.
Until Monday morning, the “issues” section of Kamala Harris’s campaign website did not exist 49 days after the Democratic Party coronated Harris without a primary. Harris has dubbed her policy plan “A New Way Forward” — the same name President George W. Bush gave to his 2007 surge in Iraq, intended to end terrorism against U.S. soldiers and transform Muslim Iraq into a pluralistic Western democracy.
Fathers & Sons Are Not Always Alike
- Details
- By W.H. Lamb

“Like father, like son”. We’ve all heard this saying in the past, I’m sure. In the normal scheme of things those words are often true but sometimes they miss the mark totally. I, for one, am nothing like my father was—not as a teen or an adult. Despite his being an every weekend abuser of alcohol for all of my growing up years, my father always earned enough to keep me and my mother, and later my younger sister, well cared for. Adopted by a family as an infant in 1894, he was an unloving and “distant” parent, an atheist who never learned how to communicate with me or ever express love for his family. My mother was always my stay-at-home Mom, providing the love and attention so lacking in my father toward all of us. Mom wasn’t particularly religious for most of her life (until her “mature” years), and neither of my parents did much to “train me up in the way I should go”. It was my elderly step-grandmother Elizabeth, (who with her husband had adopted my abandoned father as a baby in 1894), who did her best to instill her Christian faith and values into me over the thirteen years I knew her, with only limited success at the time. But that’s another story.
The Real Way to End Poverty and It's Not by Government
- Details
- By Tom DeWeese - American Policy Center
If one truly wants to help eliminate poverty, perhaps it’s time to rethink the process. To begin, one should ask this question – why are some nations (and individuals) wealthy and others are so poor?
The reason the United States has led the world in wealth, standard of living, and abundance is that every resident of the United States has had the ability and the opportunity to invest and produce their own capital and build personal wealth. Why is that possible? And why has most of the rest of the world failed, and continues to fail, at such an attempt?
