They shared great warmth…both literally and figuratively.
The residents and staff of Pisgah Valley Senior Living Community in Candler, North Carolina, shared their warmth and compassion for neighbors in the greater area. They collected coats, blankets and winter clothing for donation to Western Carolina Rescue Missions, which helps people in crisis and need.
From December 7th until December 28th, new and gently used items were collected at Pisgah Valley and delivered to Western Carolina Rescue Ministries.
Christina Romero Arias, Wellness Director for Pisgah Valley Retirement Community, said the residents are dedicated to volunteering and giving back. She chose to support Western Carolina Rescue Ministries with this project because of the organization’s tremendous impact. Christina said that residents and staff of Pisgah Valley have also participated in food drives, the Walk to End Alzheimer’s and other fundraising initiatives for the Alzheimer’s Association.
