President Trump and Congress Act to Make English Our Nation’s Official Language
- Details
- By Eagle Forum
The English language is the admission ticket to our social, political, and economic mainstream. — Phyllis Schlafly
Eagle Forum applauds President Donald Trump for issuing an executive order making English our nation’s official language for the first time in history. We agree with the President that “a common language fosters national cohesion, helps newcomers engage in communities and traditions, and enriches our shared culture.”
Eagle Forum has advocated for making English our official language for over thirty years. In 1995, Eagle Forum Founder Phyllis Schlafly wrote:

Congress Brings Back Hot Showers

The House and Senate have been working at a break-neck pace this year. Both chambers have passed separate versions of a budget resolution — the first step toward a reconciliation package. The Senate has also confirmed all but one of President Donald Trump’s cabinet nominees in record time. With all this excitement, it is easy to miss some of the seemingly small but mighty bills that undo parts of Biden’s leftover agenda. The House moved on two of those items this week.
Why Conservative Republicans Aren’t Participating in the Greenville ReOrg

Many years ago, even before the county party became as acostic as it currently is, a very successful businessman and board member of one of our state universities resigned his precinct position. He said he supported the leadership as we were returning the party to its mission, but said, “life is too short to waste time with these negative people.” We couldn’t argue with his wisdom.
The once flagship of county parties has now become a well-known dumpster fire. Party officers have caused division and viciously attack anyone who questions their actions. A picture from their February meeting shows scores less in attendance than the last February meeting I chaired, dozens less in precincts represented, almost no elected officials, and many long-time conservatives were nowhere to be found.
Councilman’s Corner: Proposed Annexation for The Inn at Altamont
- Details
- By Benton Blount - Chairman of Greenville County Council
At our recent County Council meeting, a photograph was taken capturing a packed chamber filled with concerned citizens—many of whom were there to express their opposition to the proposed annexation and development near Paris Mountain. We actually had to put out many new seats and almost reached capacity at the meeting—with around 80% of the chamber seats filled with people concerned over this specific agenda item. This image is not just symbolic of one meeting; it represents the hundreds of emails, calls, and conversations we have had with residents from across all districts of Greenville County regarding this issue. The overwhelming public engagement makes it abundantly clear: this is not just a Travelers Rest issue, nor is it merely a municipal matter. Especially while the property is under County jurisdiction, this is a countywide concern that demanded a response.
Trump EO Lassoes Federal Regulatory Leviathan

Last week, President Trump issued an executive order “Ensuring Lawful Governance and Implementing the President’s ‘Department Of Government Efficiency’ Deregulatory Initiative.” “This is one of those executive orders that we may not have ever thought of, but it’s the one we’ve all been waiting on,” gushed Family Research Council Action President Jody Hice while guest hosting on “Washington Watch.”
The order aims “to focus the executive branch’s limited enforcement resources on regulations squarely authorized by constitutional Federal statutes, and to commence the deconstruction of the overbearing and burdensome administrative state.”
It assigns all executive agencies the task of cataloguing, within 60 days, all their regulations that:

Reconciliation Package Reaches Toward Reality

For months now, House and Senate Republicans have discussed a way to fund President Donald Trump’s agenda. With a slim Republican majority in the House and Senate, passing a large appropriations package is nearly impossible. With a 60-vote threshold on such a bill, they would have to negotiate with Democrats. Even proceeding to another continuing resolution (CR) would pose problems with House Freedom Caucus members and undermine all DOGE efforts. However, reconciliation is one legislative vehicle they can use to their advantage.
Vance's Stirring Speech Warns Europe of 'Retreat' from 'Fundamental Values' of Faith, Freedom
- Details
- By Ben Johnson - The Washington Stand

President Joe Biden regularly fell asleep during diplomatic meetings. Vice President J.D. Vance debuted on the international stage Friday morning with a powerful speech aimed at awakening foreign elites to their violation of pro-life advocates’ rights, censorship of Christians, and “running in fear of your own voters.”
Vance fearlessly faced down the assembled powers of Europe at the Munich Security Conference, highlighting one nation’s Orwellian prosecution of pro-life Christians for the crime of silent public prayer, and the members’ collective determination to preserve “Our Democracy,”TM without respecting civil liberties or the will of the people.
