NGU's Boulet Named 2021 SCICU Teacher of the Year

Dr. Jon Boulet, chair of the business administration department and professor of economics, is named North Greenville University's 2021 South Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities (SCICU) Excellence in Teaching award recipient.
Each year, SCICU recognizes and celebrates the best of the best with its Excellence in Teaching Awards. According to rigorous guidelines, a faculty member from each of SCICU's twenty-member institutions is nominated for the award. Each year award recipients are honored at a special dinner in April and awarded a $3,000 professional development grant.

NGU to remain 'fully open' for Fall 2021

North Greenville University (NGU) is planning to remain fully open for the fall 2021 semester; the school announced to its students and community on Monday.
The joint message came from University President Dr. Gene C. Fant, Jr., and the COVID-19 Response Team. The university has been able to hold face-to-face classes, in-person campus activities, athletic competitions, internships, fieldwork, and clinicals during the current 2020-2021 academic year and is planning carefully to regather in the fall with the same expectations.

NGU, Spartanburg Christian Academy Announce Dual Credit Partnership

North Greenville University (NGU), and Spartanburg Christian Academy (SCA) have agreed to provide dual credit beginning the 2021-22 academic year according to the terms outlined in a memorandum of agreement.
The NGU College High School Dual Credit Program is designed to provide college credit to qualified secondary students before their high school graduation. All courses offered through dual credit will be taught on SCA’s Campus and compare to course content, course prerequisites, student expectations, and student learning outcomes to the equivalent on-campus course.

Bob Jones University to Display Pinwheel Garden

Bob Jones University, in partnership with the Children’s Trust of South Carolina, will display a pinwheel garden at the main entrance to the campus during the month of April in honor of Child Abuse Awareness Month.
Since 2008, the bright blue pinwheel has served as the national symbol of child abuse prevention as it symbolizes a carefree and vibrant childhood–something every child deserves. This is the fifth year BJU has participated in this nationwide event.

Tigerville, SC - Bill Reeves, CEO of the Christian radio network Educational Media Foundation (EMF), is tapped as the keynote commencement speaker for North Greenville University's (NGU) spring commencement. The ceremony will be held in Younts Stadium on Friday, April 30, on the NGU Tigerville Campus.
EMF is the parent company of K-LOVE and Air1—the nation's largest contemporary Christian music radio networks. As of 2020, EMF directly owns and operates on more than 1,000 signals across all 50 states. The organization is also among the top 10 U.S.-based audio streaming companies. In 2020, EMF launched AccessMore, a Christian podcast network. It also oversees WTA Media, a leader in faith-based films and publishing.

BJU Celebrates Donate Life Month

Bob Jones University will partner with Donate Life South Carolina and Sharing Hope SC to promote the SC Donate Life movement by celebrating National Donate Life Month.
BJU joins both organizations and over a dozen public and private universities throughout the Palmetto State supporting the Donate Life movement—a coalition of recipients and donor families, state and local leaders, health care professionals, clergy members, education and business leaders and everyday South Carolinians who saved more than 39,000 lives nationwide and over 500 lives in South Carolina during 2020.
