MO Dept. of Health Won't Renew Planned Parenthood's License but Judge Allows Them to Continue Doing Abortions that Violate Safety Laws

LOUIS, Mo. - A status conference was this held morning before St. Louis Judge Michael Stelzer in which the MO Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) announced it will not to renew the St. Louis Planned Parenthood's abortion facility license.
However, Judge Stelzer has ordered that the preliminary injunction preventing the expiration of Reproductive Health Services Planned Parenthood's facility license will remain in place until further order from the court. This allows Planned Parenthood to continue conducting abortions in a dangerous manner that violates Missouri law.

Since the gas-tax-hike law took effect nearly two years ago, raising the state gas tax 12 cents per gallon over six years and increasing other vehicle taxes and fees, The Nerve has repeatedly pointed out that the S.C. Department of Transportation has spent relatively little and completed few major projects with those revenues. The next 2-cent gas tax increase takes effect July 1.
