Rep. McGovern (D-MA) and Sen. Rubio (R-FL) Earned Top Scores for The 115th Congressional IRF Scorecard
- By Christian Newswire
WASHINGTON -- The Frank R. Wolf International Religious Freedom Act of 2016 provides a framework for advancing religious freedom as a U.S. foreign policy imperative. 21Wilberforce presents the 115th Congress International Religious Freedom Scorecard as a measure of progress made toward that end. The Scorecard helps increase Congressional awareness of international religious freedom issues, encourages legislators to take bold action in support of this cause, and publicly recognizes the work of religious freedom champions in Congress.
Can Trump Still Avoid War with Iran?
- By Pat Buchanan
President Donald Trump does not want war with Iran. America does not want war with Iran. Even the Senate Republicans are advising against military action in response to that attack on Saudi Arabia's oil facilities.
"All of us (should) get together and exchange ideas, respectfully, and come to a consensus -- and that should be bipartisan," says Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Jim Risch of Idaho.
Abortion Drop Shows the Roe Less Traveled
- By Tony Perkins - Family Research Council
Pro-lifers are making amazing strides in this country -- but don't take our word for it. Take the Left's. According to the liberal Guttmacher Institute, the U.S. hit its lowest abortion rate ever in 2017 -- dropping a full 20 percent from 2011. But don't expect liberals to admit something else: that a record number of pro-life state laws are responsible. On that, they draw the line.

The Idolatry of Environmental Extremism
- By David Limbaugh
A bizarre incident at Union Theological Seminary illustrates why many Christians believe that internal forces, not external ones, represent the greatest threat to the church.
Students at this seminary prayed to a collection of plants in its chapel, which triggered a raft of criticism on Twitter. The school defiantly defended its action in a series of tweets.
"Today in chapel, we confessed to plants," the school tweeted. "Together, we held our grief, joy, regret, hope, guilt and sorrow in prayer; offering them to the beings who sustain us but whose gift we too often fail to honor. What do you confess to the plants in your life?"
Democrats Embarrass Themselves Chasing Down Rabbit Holes
- By Eagle Forum
In yet another hope to delegitimize the President, this past week the House Judiciary Committee approved a resolution providing guidelines on Presidential impeachment proceedings after much internal debate about how to proceed.
According to the Judiciary Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-NY), "the investigation will go well beyond the four corners of the Mueller report, and we will be starting with a first hearing on [Tuesday] September 17th…"

The Left's Kavanaugh Smear Implodes -- Again
- By Tucker Carlson & Neil Patel
Believe it or not, it was a year ago that a constellation of left-wing activist groups cooked up a series of outlandish lies designed to keep Brett Kavanaugh off the Supreme Court. The national news media, as you will remember, joined the smear campaign. They repeated and magnified the slurs. But in the end, it was to no effect. Kavanaugh was confirmed anyway. Why? Because not a single allegation against him was proven to be true. Not one. Their only lasting effect was to traumatize Kavanaugh's wife and children. To this day, the left has never apologized for their dishonesty or their profound cruelty. They did not accept defeat. They never do. Why? Because when politics is your religion, acknowledging reality looks like sin, and so it continues.
South Carolina Should "Go" Sanctuary State!
- By John H. Utz - Greenville, SC
California seems to be 'getting away' with being a Sanctuary State: they seem to be able to determine just which federal laws they want to obey/accept, and which laws they want to negate and 'do their own thing.'
Well, it's about time for South Carolina to do some of it's own 'sanctuary state', such as, 1) Marriage is between a man and a woman, ie, no same-sex marriage; 2) No abortion, except for protecting (truly) the life of the mother; 3) No driver licenses, no welfare, no food stamps, no free housing for illegals (except voluntary, private charity); 4) and so forth.

SCDOT Continues Slow Pace of Road Repairs with Tas-Tax-Hike Money
- By Rick Brundrett - The Nerve
With the start of the third year of the state’s gas-tax-hike law, the S.C. Department of Transportation had completed less than 16% of $711.4 million in identified “pavements” projects statewide, newly released DOT records show.
The Nerve last month revealed that DOT plans to complete about 2,300 miles of road repairs by the end of 2021, though that number represents less than 7% of the approximately 33,600 miles of state roads that the agency says have to be resurfaced or rebuilt.

From Friday Night Lights to Secular Fights
- By Tony Perkins - Family Research Council
If there's one thing secularists despise more than one person praying, it's 7,000! That's what the Freedom from Religion Foundation (FFRF) got when it tried to shut down faith in Opelika, Alabama. Turns out, threatening prayer in this small town didn't lead to silence. It led to a revolution.
Trump, 2020 – And A Very Cautious Electorate
- By Joseph M. Bianchi
With recent polling showing some significant vulnerabilities in President Trump’s popularity, the prospects of an easy road back to the White House just became much more complicated.
While Trump’s deep base of loyalists will remain at full volume right up until election night, there is a rattling even among ardent supporters that should make most conservative pundits nervous.
There are certainly concrete achievements that can be pointed to in order to bolster the image of the President as a “doer and accomplisher”; these are the things that most Trump supporters point to quickly as a shield against frontal attacks.

Facebook Incites Violent War on ICE
- By Michelle Malkin
Abolish ICE thugs in Colorado want to see the homes and families of immigration enforcement officials set aflame.
Denver communists want alien detention facility employees dead, swinging from nooses with broken necks.
Both groups are brazenly using Facebook to spread their inflammatory and violent messages. So, where is Silicon Valley -- whose top companies partner with the Southern Poverty Law Center smear machine to de-platform conservatives, pro-lifers and Donald Trump supporters -- to stop the open borders left's escalating hate?
24 Constitutional Questions Every American Should be Able to Answer
- By John F. McManus - The New American
September 17 is designated Constitution Day in recognition of the anniversary of the signing of the Constitution in 1787. How many of these quiz questions can you answer?
1. Q: Has the Constitution always guided the country?
A: No. Originally the nation functioned under the Continental Congress and the Articles of Confederation. But after 11 years under the Articles, the U.S. Constitution was written, agreed to, and ratified by nine states (all eventually ratified but only nine were needed to have it take effect). On September 13, 1788, the Continental Congress proclaimed that the Constitution had been properly ratified and it ordered the new government to convene on March 4, 1789.
Academic Stupidity and Brainwashing
- By Walter Williams
Just when we thought colleges could not spout loonier ideas, we have a new one from American University. They hired a professor to teach other professors to grade students based on their "labor" rather than their writing ability. The professor that American University hired to teach that nonsense is Asao B. Inoue, who is a professor and associate dean in the College of Integrative Sciences and Arts at Arizona State University. He is also the director of the university's writing center. Inoue believes that a person's writing ability should not be assessed, in order to promote "anti-racist" objectives. Inoue taught American University's faculty members that their previous practices of grading writing promoted white language supremacy. Inoue thinks that students should be graded on the effort they put into a project.
Over Their Dead Bodies
- By Tony Perkins - Family Research Council
He was an "aberration," they said. An outlier. When Pennsylvania officials raided Kermit Gosnell's dirty, cat-infested, third-world excuse for an "abortion clinic," liberals insisted he was an isolated case. They said it again when Douglas Karpen's staff explained how he twisted off the heads of large babies. And they'll say it again when reporters ask about Dr. Ulrich Klopfer, who drove the corpses of thousands of his victims to his home -- some 100 miles away -- to apparently keep as trophies of his killing.

'Locked and Loaded' for War on Iran?
- By Pat Buchanan
"Iran has launched an unprecedented attack on the world's energy supply," declared Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
Putting America's credibility on the line, Pompeo accused Iran of carrying out the devastating attack on Saudi oil facilities that halted half of the kingdom's oil production, 5.7 million barrels a day.
On Sunday, President Donald Trump did not identify Iran as the attacking nation, but did appear, in a tweet, to back up the secretary of state:

- By Johnnelle Raines
As the new 2019-2020 school year swings into action, many parents are thrilled to have their children back in their seats at government operated schools. This of course frees parents up during the day to pursue their own personal interests, or in some cases, economically helps them not to have to pay for summer child care.

On the eighteenth anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, Bob Jones University commemorated the 2,977 lives lost on Sept. 11, 2001, with a display of American flags at the front of campus.
In addition, a replica of the World Trade Center Cross, one of the most recognizable symbols found in the wreckage of Ground Zero, was featured at the Wade Hampton entrance. The original steel girder, a 17-foot long crossbeam, became a source of hope to many in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks. It is currently on display in the National September 11 Memorial and Museum in New York City.
