- Details
- By Billy Cannada - NGU

The South Carolina Senate voted unanimously on June 14 to confirm North Greenville University (NGU) President Dr. Gene C. Fant, Jr., to serve on the South Carolina Higher Education Commission. Fant was nominated by the Hon. Henry D. McMaster, Governor of South Carolina.
Established in 1967, the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education is the coordinating board for the state’s 33 public institutions of higher learning. According to the commission’s website, the entity “acts both as an oversight entity on behalf of the General Assembly, and an advocate for the citizens of South Carolina as they seek opportunities to improve their lives, and those of their families, through higher education.”
The commission is governed by a 15-member board appointed by the governor. Fant will serve a two-year term, representing South Carolina’s independent higher learning institutions.
Jason Aldean and the Rebirth of Country Music

The tap root of authentic music is authentic culture, and when a culture dies, so does the music it generated. Years ago, country-music legend Loretta Lynn, quite correctly, pronounced country music dead.
The Southern Anglo-Celtic agrarian culture that had generated the country-western-blue-grass genres had been eroded by industrial mass and mono-culture, by political centralization, and by the philistinism of the music industry. In "Gone Country", Alan Jackson had warned us about opportunists, imposters, and profiteering outsiders.
One in Six Democrats Believes Violence Is Justified to Restore Abortion
- Details
- By Ben Johnson - The Washington Stand

One in every six Democrats believes that “force [is] justified to restore abortion rights,” a new poll has found, underscoring the secular Left’s growing support for political violence.
The number of Democrats backing abortion-related terrorism has doubled, from 8% to 16% since January — a period when multiple states have enacted pro-life protections. In all, 31 million Americans support the use of violence to reinstate abortion in U.S. law, up from 22 million just three months ago, according to a survey from the University of Chicago’s Chicago Project on Security and Threats (CPOST) released this month.
The same percentage of Democrats agrees that “force is justified to prevent Donald Trump from becoming president,” as well as to “coerce Congress or government officials.”

DuPont Clinic Will Not Open at Proposed Location in Beverly Hills

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. -- The DuPont all-trimester abortion clinic is not going into the City of Beverly Hills. According to an email from the Deputy City Manager, the building management company has rescinded its lease to DuPont after mounting pressure from the pro-life community, led by the initial efforts of Ms. Tasha Baker who started the website stopdupontclinic.org and the activist group Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust.
Tasha Baker worked with a local attorney in Los Angeles who shared her passion to maintain Beverly Hills' heritage as a refuge for the innocent and oppressed. Upon hearing of the victory against DuPont, Baker commented,
Another Look At The Curse Of “Abandonment Theology”
- Details
- By W.H. Lamb

In a previous article, we discussed some of the obvious reasons why our beloved America is slowly disintegrating into purposely induced chaos and tribalism, and I placed the blame for this descent into possible national oblivion squarely on the heads of the leaders of “people of faith”—i.e. Christian pastors/priests/ministers, and Jewish rabbis, and the congregations they claim to lead (including Christians who are part of the “home church” movement). I’ve never suggested, nor will I, that people of faith are retreating from the battle against evil and tyranny because they don’t love America, despite all its faults and its sometimes-tarnished heritage of freedom. Of course they—we all—say we do. But “talk is cheap”, we all know. Unless Christian Patriots and patriots in general study God’s Word, and read and study publications like The Times Examiner, The New American, WorldNetDaily, Breitbart News, Epoch Times News & TV, and many other pro-American and pro-Christian journals, blogs, web sites and podcasts of truth and abandonthe devious and lying “main stream media”--including ALL of the “alphabet” TV channels, most cable news channels, virtually all print newspapers and well-known “popular” magazines, and especially the anti-American, anti-free speech, culture destroying “socialmedia” like Facebook (Meta), UTube, WhatsApp, Instagram, SnapChat, Twitter (now called “X”), Thread, TikTok, etc.
Convention of States: An Amendment Would Force the Feds to Stop Spending Our Money
- Details
- By Joe Wolverton, II, J.D. - The New American

My final article examining the Convention of States’ (COS) “7 Guidelines for Drafting Proposed Amendments” concerns their mandate that any amendment submitted to them for consideration by those attending their convention has to have one of the following purposes:
- Impose fiscal restraints on the federal government
- Limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government
- Impose term limits on federal officials
As I’ve exposed the redundancy and inanity of the last and next to last, today I’ll do likewise to the first: impose fiscal restraints on the federal government.
Let’s put the most important consideration first: the U.S. Constitution.
Senate Supreme Court Ethics Bill Places Conservative Justices in Democrats’ Crosshairs

Supreme Court Ethics Bill is Unethical

In yet another attempt to delegitimatize the Supreme Court, Senate Democrats have moved forward with a bill they say would tighten ethics requirements for its Justices. The Supreme Court Ethics, Recusal, and Transparency “SCERT” Act (S. 359) is not intended to hold those serving on the Court accountable for their actions or to close some nefarious loophole. In the words of Carrie Severino writing in National Review, “The legislation builds on the torrent of pseudo-ethics issues designed to destroy a Supreme Court whose recent decisions the Left finds disagreeable. The hand-wringing over ethics on Capitol Hill transparently employs double standards to single out conservative justices and ignore the liberal ones, fueled by incompetent journalism that fudges facts and routinely fails to find a single case in which one of its targets was corrupted.”

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Human trafficking, either for sex or for forced labor, is a horrible crime.
Non-governmental organizations (NGOs), including many Christian ministries, raise hundreds of millions of dollars to fight human trafficking.
Indeed, sex trafficking has become something of a cause celebre for evangelicals. International Justice Mission's revenue has doubled in the past five years. Operation Underground Railroad didn't exist a decade ago, but has now grown to the point that it was able to pay its president Tim Ballard more than a half-million per year.

What better way to do that, than by controlling our food supplies? This includes the water and land which grow our crops and feed our livestock. It also will overtake EVERYTHING in agriculture, food sales, food deliveries, and quite possibly even your own backyard gardens.
Why We're Asking the Wrong Question About the Industrial Policy Push
- Details
- By Veronique de Rugy
Proponents of the ongoing push for national industrial policy, whether they come from the left or the right, frequently argue that we need to promote certain sectors or technologies to create a manufacturing boom. This boom, we're told, is necessary to create more high-paying jobs. But I beg to differ. Industrial policy isn't and shouldn't be primarily about creating jobs. Its primary purpose, if it should exist at all, lies elsewhere.
The ultimate objective of an economy is not to provide jobs per se, but to improve overall living standards. This happens with an ever-increasing availability of quality goods and services that people voluntarily purchase to enrich their lives. Good jobs are a means to this end; they are not the end itself. This reality is easily proven by asking someone who loves his job if he'd continue to do it if it paid nothing. Virtually everyone's honest answer would be no.

However, this theory has many problems including the fact that planets are not always found where they are supposed to be.

Biden White House to Oust Conservative Reporters from Press Briefings
- Details
- By S.A. McCarthy - The Washington Stand

Amidst growing concerns over censorship, the Biden White House is changing its rules on press credentials, potentially forcing conservative reporters out of the briefing room.
According to the new rules, White House reporters must hold a press pass from the U.S. House of Representatives, Senate, or Supreme Court to maintain access to the White House briefing room. Starting July 31, existing White House “hard passes” will expire, leaving several reporters without access to press briefings. One such reporter is Fred Lucas, White House correspondent for The Heritage Foundation’s news outlet The Daily Signal. Lucas has held a hard pass since 2009 and has covered both Obama’s and Trump’s presidencies; in two weeks, Lucas will be without a White House press pass.
Chris Christie's Grade B Candidacy
- Details

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is getting a lot of media -- way out of proportion to the impact he has made as a candidate, measured by his low standing in the polls and the very modest amount of money he has raised.
The explanation for this seems clear. The media loves his sharp and aggressive animosity to and criticism of former President Donald Trump.
But the American people are looking for a leader. Could Chris Christie be that man?
SAFE Act Explosion: 72% of Red States Now Protect Minors from Gender Transition Procedures
- Details
- By Joshua Arnold - The Washington Stand

As the 2023 state legislative season winds toward a conclusion, it’s time to analyze whether state efforts to protect minors from gender transition procedures were successful. The answer is a hearty “yes.”
Before this year, only four states had passed legislation prohibiting gender transition procedures on minors, which include irreversible removal of healthy organs and permanent sterilization through cross-sex hormones. As of Tuesday, when the Louisiana legislature enacted protections over the governor’s veto, 21 states have protections (one state improved on previously enacted language). Nearly three-quarters (72%) of Republican-controlled state legislatures have passed legislation protecting minors from gender reassignment procedures, and 18 out of 29 (62%) of Republican-controlled legislatures have passed a law this year.

Why NATO Was Obsessed With Ukraine And Is Now In A Panic
- Details
- By Larry Johnson

To answer the question in my title you need only look at two numbers — 1) Ukraine’s rank in terms of natural resources and 2) the size of Ukraine’s Army in February 2022. Since the end of World War II the West has viewed Ukraine as a critical piece on the global chess board for attacking and defeating Russia. The joint CIA/MI-6 effort to destabilize the Soviet Union, which started in 1947 with the provision of funds, weapons and training to Stefan Bandera’s organization, was crushed by the Soviets by 1952. It was shortly after that, following the death of Stalin in 1953, that Khrushchev gifted Crimea to Ukraine (1954). Was it a reward for Ukrainian assistance in wiping out the CIA-backed OUN uprising?

U.S. House Passes Defense Bill to Undo Wokeism in the Military

In Defense of Our Nation’s Defenders

Last week the House Republicans began the process to eliminate many of the woke policies the Left has been forcing on the U.S. military for years. Historically, the reauthorization of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) has been bipartisan, but the previous Democrat majority attempted to insert their agenda with language to provide on-demand abortions, taxpayer funded transition surgeries for transgenders, vaccine mandates, and drafting our daughters. This year, House conservatives are defending the armed services by making it clear our military is not to be used for radical social experimentation.
Disney Still Reeling from Blowback

- By Bill Donohue - President, Catholic League
Bob Iger has been hanging around Disney seemingly forever, and every time he quits, he re-retires (he's done so at least three times).
When he left as CEO in 2021, he managed to become executive chairman, keeping an eye on his successor, Bob Chapek. Last November, Chapek was shown the door, and Iger jumped back in the saddle as CEO again. He was supposed to retire at the end of 2024, but now that date has been extended to December 31, 2026. He definitely has a grip on the Disney board.
In 2021, Iger's total compensation was $46 million, more than double what he earned the previous year. His new contract includes an annual bonus equal to 500 percent of his annual salary. Disney chairman Mark Parker says he's worth every penny of it. But is he?

Progressives and Populists vs. the Credit Card Market
- Details
- By Veronique de Rugy
Central planning, never out of fashion on the left, is now more popular than ever on the right thanks to the GOP's populist takeover. This is why a recurring effort to intervene in the credit-card processing market is finding more support in the new Congress than it did in the previous one.
Interchange fees are charged by payment networks, such as Visa or Mastercard, whenever you use a credit card. Collected fees go to both the credit-card processing service and the card issuer. Card issuers must maintain and improve payment networks, protect data, combat fraud and bear the risk of debtor default. Fees help cover all of this.
