Recall of the Wild
- By Tony Perkins - Family Research Council
If California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) had it to do over again, he might not be so quick to shut down churches. His lockdown legacy, one of hypocrisy and double standards, has made plenty of area Democrats regret his COVID strategy -- especially now that the most important job in California may be decided by the houses of worship he spurned. As a result of Newsom's heavy-handed approach to churches, local congregations are more engaged in state politics than ever -- and that's bad news for anyone in the governor's mansion who thought their jobs were safe.
20 Years after 9/11 -- Are We Better Off?
- By Pat Buchanan
When the hijacked planes hit the twin towers of the World Trade Center and the Pentagon that first 9/11, the Taliban were in control of Afghanistan and providing sanctuary for al-Qaida.
Today, the Taliban are in control of Afghanistan and providing sanctuary to al-Qaida. What then did our longest war accomplish?
The Afghan army and government we stood up and sustained for decades has collapsed. The U.S. military has withdrawn. U.S. citizens and thousands of Afghans who fought alongside us have been left behind.
Richard to keynote Constitution Day lecture at NGU
- By LaVerne Howell - NGU
Constitution Day is an American federal observance that recognizes the adoption of the United States Constitution and those who have become U.S. citizens. It is normally observed on September 17, the day in 1787 that delegates to the Constitutional Convention signed the document in Philadelphia.
To commemorate the day, North Greenville University (NGU) will hold a lecture given by Dr. Carl Richard, a professor of history at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, on Thursday, Sept. 16, at 5:30 p.m. in the Hayes Visitors Center on the Tigerville Campus. The title of his lecture will be "What the Founders learned from the Greeks and The Romans."
Richard earned his Ph.D. in History from Vanderbilt University in 1988. His research interests include intellectual history, American history, and the history of ancient Greece and Rome.
How Wall Street Still Owns Washington, Even with the Socialists in Charge
- By Neil Patel
Democrats in Washington are still pushing ahead with plans for their historically astronomical $3.5 trillion spending bill. The massive regulatory and social changes included would push America further to the left than ever before. The reconciliation spending bill, which can be passed with no Republican votes in the House or Senate, includes a ton of tax increases along with the huge new spending increases. The proposal will reportedly raise the individual income tax rates and the corporate income tax rates. According to the most recent news reporting, however, one tax policy is going to make it through the huge left-wing agenda unchanged: the so-called carried interest loophole -- special low tax rates for Wall Street money managers.
The Coming Abortion Insurrection
- By Michelle Malkin
I told you it was coming. Back in May, on my show, "Sovereign Nation," I chronicled significant signs of pro-life progress that were driving death-lobby Democrats mad -- and I warned of a wave of intolerant tantrums to come as we hurtle into autumn. It's here.
In a 5-4 ruling last week, the U.S. Supreme Court refused to strike down the Texas heartbeat law protecting unborn babies as early as six weeks of age. This follows nationwide adoption of heartbeat laws and other abortion restrictions in so many state legislators that the left-wing Guttmacher Institute apocalyptically reported that "2021 is on track to become the most devastating antiabortion state legislative session in decades."
Black Women of Influence Take Public Stand Against Pastor & U.S. Senator Raphael Warnock
- By The Restoration Project
Several women recounted their calamitous experience with Planned Parenthood
ATLANTA -- The Restoration Project, a pro-life, pro-family, pro-education organization based in Georgia, today announced that African-American and Latina women, together with men, took a public stand on Saturday, September 4, 2021 in front of Ebenezer Baptist Church. They called on Raphael Warnock to change his strips, leave the Negro Project behind and begin protecting Black women in Georgia and the nation. Though abortion has been labeled health care in America, the vivid testimonies shared by several of the women exposed it as anything but. Instead, their experiences revealed a pattern of targeting Black women and their babies.
The $5 Billion Surplus Officials Don’t Talk About
- By Rick Brundrett - The Nerve
Out of this fiscal year’s $32.5 billion state budget, more than a third of it – nearly $12.3 billion – is made up of “other” funds.
“Other” funds include such things as fees and fines, college tuition, lottery proceeds, state gasoline taxes, and part of the state sales tax earmarked for K-12 education. Many state agencies don’t spend all of their other funds in a fiscal year, with some of them amassing huge year-end surpluses.
Minister Files Federal Lawsuit After Being Denied the Right to Hold Prayer Vigil on the Grounds of the U.S. Capitol for the 20th Anniversary of 9/11
- By Christian Defense Coalition
WASHINGTON -- Rev. Patrick Mahoney, Director of the Christian Defense Coalition, applied for a permit to hold a: "Prayer vigil and remembrance for all those who perished on 9/11 and to pray for God's protection over America."
That permit application was denied by the U.S. Capitol Police because Rev. Mahoney was told the grounds around the Capitol are "restricted" and the permit would not be processed.
However, the grounds around the United States Capitol are not restricted. Business is going on as usual at the Capitol. Thousands of visitors walk across the grounds of the Capitol every week and recently Congressman Bush was allowed by the U.S. Capitol Police to camp out on the steps of the Capitol for several days and hold a major demonstration to protest evictions.

Vaccine Mandate Sticks It to Freedom
- By Tony Perkins - Family Research Council
Twenty years ago today, Americans went to sleep never imagining the next morning would change our lives forever. We woke up to a once-in-a-generation nightmare carried out by extremists who despised our way of life, our liberties, and our God. Their hatred killed 3,000 innocents that day, but it did not kill America. Unfortunately for the terrorists, the people of this country were resilient -- even in unspeakable tragedy. We mourned, flew bigger flags, and rebuilt. It would have never occurred to us then that two decades later one of the greatest assaults on our sovereignty would come from our government itself. That the man we'd elect as president would one day tell us that confronting a deadly threat is "no longer about freedom and personal choice."
Is the Left Losing Its Grip on California?
- By Star Parker
The Democratic Party is rolling out its left-wing big guns to go to California to support Gov. Gavin Newsom in the recall election scheduled for Sept. 14.
In California, the bluest of blue states, where, in 2020, challenger Joe Biden defeated incumbent President Donald Trump by a margin of almost 2-1, the polls are within the margin of error showing Newsom holding on in the recall.
Why are Vice President Kamala Harris and Sens. Elizabeth Warren and Amy Klobuchar putting it on the line to campaign for Newsom?

There Goes Grandma Over the Cliff
- By Stephen Moore
Democrats have made a living in recent times with political attack ads fallaciously accusing Republicans of secret plans to destroy Medicare and Social Security. In one famous TV ad, then-House Speaker Paul Ryan was depicted as shoving an elderly woman in a wheelchair off a cliff.
Well, Republicans may want to reprise that ad -- and toss it back at Biden Democrats. New reports in recent days from the Congressional Budget Office and the Social Security trustees show both these programs running out of money much sooner than previously expected.
Biden’s Green Light for America’s Enemies
- By Mike Scruggs
Patterns for Abandonment—Afghanistan and Vietnam
The radical Islamist Taliban provided an important base of operations in Afghanistan that facilitated the September 11, 2001, terrorist attack on the U.S. resulting in over 3,000 American deaths. To prevent further such terrorist attacks on Western countries and rid Afghanistan of Taliban radicalism and barbarity, the U.S. and Allied Coalition helped to build and generously equip Afghan National Defense Forces numbering about 182,000, including 7,000 Air Force personnel. Adding the National Police Force of 119,000, brought Afghan forces to 301,000 by July 2021. As of April 2021, at least 66,000 members of the Afghan National Defense Forces and Police Forces had been killed since the war began in 2002. The Afghan National Defense and Police forces were well paid, and their willingness to fight the Taliban is shown by sustaining considerable casualties over almost 20 years. Why did most of the Afghan Defense and Police forces essentially collapse with minimal resistance beginning in March 2021?

Scoffers Are Gonna Scoff!
- By W.H. Lamb
SCOFFERS GONNA SCOFF
By Karen Rene’ Pryer
From the web site: And We Know, July 21, 2021
“Scoffers gonna scoff at us—This is no surprise.
When heads are buried in the sand—denial is demise!
Conspiracies are rampant And the truth is hard to find,
But even when you find it, No one backs you from behind.
The world rejected Jesus As the world rejects us now.
The truth is viewed as crazy, And is misconstrued somehow.
But when we stand up to the world And lift our voices high—
The love of Jesus radiates The truth we testify!
When scoffers come a scoffing—To tell you you’re insane—
Just know your toiling for the truth Will never be in vain!”

Is Democracy Versus Autocracy the New Cold War?
- By Pat Buchanan
"He may be an SOB, but he's our SOB."
So said President Franklin D. Roosevelt of Nicaraguan dictator Anastasio Somoza, and how very American. For, from its first days, America has colluded with autocrats when the national interest demanded it.
George Washington danced a jig in 1778 when he learned that our diplomats had effected an alliance with France's King Louis XVI. The alliance, he knew, would be indispensable to an American victory.
In April 1917, the U.S. went to war "to make the world safe for democracy" in collusion with four of the world greatest empires: the British, French, Russian and Japanese. All four annexed new colonial lands and peoples from the victory for democracy we were decisive in winning.

Why Isn't Biden to Blame for COVID-19 Deaths?
- By David Harsanyi
One of the most morally revolting talking points taken up by Democrats in their effort to deflect attention from President Joe Biden's deadly incompetence in Afghanistan is to minimize the deaths of 13 troops in Kabul, Afghanistan, by pointing out that more people are dying from COVID-19 every day.
First of all, if we use the standards that Democrats set during the Trump years, those COVID-19 deaths are also the responsibility of Biden.

As Christians in Afghanistan Struggle for Their Lives, US Christians to March, Pray in Washington, D.C.
- By Christian Newswire
WASHINGTON - More than 340 million people around the world suffer persecution for practicing their Christian faith - making it the largest persecuted religious group. In solidarity with them, and to help raise awareness, the 2nd annual March for the Martyrs will take place in Washington, D.C., on Sept. 25, 2021.
It's the first time the March, hosted by For the Martyrs, will be held in our nation's capital.
"We all see what's going on in Afghanistan right now. Christians are being hunted down and killed. This is happening in so many other nations across the world, and so few people are talking about it. That's why we've chosen to move the March for the Martyrs to Washington, D.C.," said Gia Chacon, president of For the Martyrs.

Cacophony and Confusion in Foreign Policy
- By Pat Buchanan
When President Franklin D. Roosevelt addressed Congress on Dec. 8, 1941, the day after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, the country was united behind him.
The America First Committee, the largest anti-war movement in our history, which had the backing of President Herbert Hoover and future Presidents John F. Kennedy and Gerald Ford, was closing its doors and enlisting.
When President George W. Bush stood atop the ruins of the twin towers of the World Trade Center in lower Manhattan after the attack of 9/11, the country was united behind him.
