Can Evolution and Intelligent Design Coexist?

In the debate over origins, evolution and intelligent design Clearly stand as separate sides. Both perspectives have their own reasoning and followers. They're often presented as mutually exclusive, with proponents of one ideology dismissing the other as flawed or even fake. But what if we told you that these two ideas might not be as black and white as they seem?
Intelligent design Is the idea that life contains systems there are far too organized and complex to have been develop by natural processes. This is in part because the odds against being able to acquire and assemble the needed components even on the level of a single cell exceed the number of possible events in the universe by thousands of orders of magnitude. Put simply abiogenesis is statistically impossible, And the only known solution is an intelligent designer. No actual solution to this dilemma has ever actually been proposed. The responses are generally assuming that there must be a problem with your calculations, and they go on to insist on blind faith that there has to be a process that will allow it to work. However, no actual problems with the calculations or a solution that can be demonstrated mathematically to overcome the odds is ever presented.

This week, the SCFC offered an alternative state budget which would cut roughly $1 billion from House Leadership’s budget proposal ultimately to fund the largest tax cut in state history, moving us from 6.2% to 5%. The SCFC put up amendments to cut new money going to state agencies and commissions, while also proposing to cut existing budgets of agencies and commissions who don’t serve a core government function. Additionally, SCFC members anticipate hundeds of millions of dollars for pork will be added in the next round of the budget process, and the SCFC plans to cut any of those requests except for those earmarked for first responders or infrastructure repairs.

At our most recent Greenville County Council meeting, a colleague placed the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) on the agenda with the intent to “table” it—which, under our rules, effectively means to kill the ordinance entirely.
For those who may not be aware, we reconsidered the UDO at the beginning of this year to address both council and constituent concerns about its structure and impact. The goal was to take the concerns seriously and amend the ordinance to reflect what is best for Greenville County. It wasn’t a simple decision either. Due to our rules and the fact that it was passed during last year’s session, this ordinance was almost solidified. Had it not been for this specific strategy, we would now be stuck with the ordinance as is!

Furthermore, we need to look at which direction quantum mechanics naturally tend to lead us when it is properly understood.

Dear Legislator,
Please support Rep. Wooten’s bill H3165. This is a great opportunity to reach a compromise on annexation reform. As you know, SC is one of the top states to move to. And while this is a desirable thing, there are some real consequences to residents in terms of infrastructure and quality of life. Proponents of annexation reform are looking for more, but we understand change takes time.
Below is some further reform we are looking for – with reasons why.
Grant legal standing to county governments to more efficiently manage municipal annexations within their jurisdiction. Currently, municipalities do not have to notify the county of annexations- H3165 seeks to change this. However, counties still need standing, which we would need to add on. Annexation puts burdens on the community/county creating developments that stress county and state roads, overpopulate schools, and ultimately require county help with sewer/wastewater and require costly upgrades for the county residents. This is inefficient government. Counties need standing to create more efficient government and stewardship of local resources. They need more recourse to require joint planning and coordination.

But now, constitutional attorneys have listed four additional ways the Trump administration — which has delivered a palpable conservative agenda through executive orders — could rectify the federal government’s targeting of the pro-life movement without having to consult with another branch of government.
PARIS MOUNTAIN HOTEL: The Divine Group's Traffic Study, Water Jurisdiction and Protected Species Impact Reports Dissected

At long last, The Divine Group (the folks attempting to annex/build the hotel) released their much talked-about traffic study, along with a water jurisdiction and protected species impact report.https://divinegroup.us/the-inn-at-altamont/
While much could be said about the studies, don't miss the forest for the trees. The main things to notice are as follows:
The traffic study only took into consideration hotel/hotel guest traffic. No restaurant, no bar, no spa, and- most importantly- no event space! If you really believe that after an event for 750 people, traffic is going to peak out around 85 trips over the course of an hour, I don't really know what to tell you. A moderate estimate for the number of cars at a 750 person event is 375 cars (which btw, is 45 more cars than the proposed parking lot holds). For all of those cars to leave if there are only 85 car trips per hour, we're assuming that folks will leave the event with even distribution over the course of FOUR AND A HALF HOURS. Completely nonsense. The study is basically useless in describing the actual impact that the proposed development (which is much more than a hotel) will have on Altamont Rd. and the surrounding intersections. Until we see a traffic report that is based on an accurate description of what the planned development actually is, I would urge everyone to remain incredibly skeptical of the information they released.
Georgia State Senator Files Bill to Unplug Dominion Voting System

ATLANTA -- Georgia State Senator Colton Moore (R-53) filed Senate Bill 303 late last week to replace Georgia’s current statewide Dominion Democracy Suite 5.5 Ballot Marking Device (BMD) voting system with hand marked paper ballots and publicly recorded hand counts. The bill reverts the conduct of elections to current Georgia paper ballot statutes. It appears to resolve security complaints filed in federal and state lawsuits against the system and some security concerns raised by President Trump about the conduct of United States elections.
