Contact Your Senators to Urge Opposition to Marijuana Legalization

The marijuana industry has been looking for ways to loosen pot rules through federal policy. They are now trying to do so through the appropriations process. The Senate is currently working on the Agriculture Appropriations bill, which will determine not only federal spending but also national agriculture policies. Big Marijuana is trying to use this legislation to legalize marijuana on a national scale.
In the House, Representative Mary Miller (R-IL) has inserted language in this appropriations bill that will ban intoxicating hemp-based THC in edibles and other products, whether in a natural or synthetic form. However, Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) is offering an amendment that will carve out protections for products that use naturally occurring THC, banning only its synthetic variety.

The Syrian Fuse is Burning Again
I have written about nine articles on Syria going back as far as 2017. Several of them concerned the genocide of Syrian Christians by radical Sunni Muslims opposing the rule of Bashar al-Assad, President of Syria from July 2000 until December 8, 2024. Assad is a Shia Alawite Muslim. The Alawites are exceptionally moderate Muslims and have allied with the Christians in economic and politics in Syria for many generations, protecting them from the Sunni Muslim majority in Syria, whose fundamentalist Islamic religious doctrines strongly oppose Christians, Jews, Druze, and in fact, all non-Muslims and moderate Muslims.
The Muslim Brotherhood, founded in Egypt in 1928, is the largest and most powerful Sunni Muslim organization in the world. The Muslim Brotherhood is “Salafist”—back to fundamentalist basics—in its doctrines and has especially little tolerance for religiously moderate Muslim leaders. For many decades, the Ikhwan (Brotherhood) planned to remove the Assad regime, begun by Bashar al-Assad’s father Hafez al-Assad after a military coup in 1971. The Arab Spring, backed by President Barack Obama in 2011, was the perfect opportunity to pursue Muslim Brotherhood goals in Syria. By the way, a 2004 FBI raid in Virginia uncovered hundreds of documents revealing Muslim Brotherhood plans to build a framework to overthrow the culture and Government of the United States.

How prescient was that great, but flawed, man of God, Martin Luther! We all know, by now, that prayer, Bible reading, and the life lessons taught by God’s Word were long ago (1962 & 1963) banned from our government so-called “schools” or, as I prefer to think of them, anti-education, anti-American centers for the un-education and the corruption of our youth—i.e. “Institutes of Induced Ignorance”. President Donald Trump’s White House staff is much smaller and is costing taxpayers 29% less in the first year of his second term than did Joe Biden’s administration in his last year in the Oval Office in 2024, according to data compiled by the non-profit government transparency watchdog Open the Books (OTB).
Trump “spent just $44.1 million paying 404 employees in 2025, making it the least costly payroll since at least 2009 when adjusting for inflation,” OTB said in a July 8 report. “The new dollar total is also a 29 percent reduction from the White House payroll in 2024, when Joe Biden spent $62.2 million.

Last month, the Trump administration Labor Department slapped a hold on Biden administration rules on H-2A visas, which allow U.S. farmers to hire foreign workers when they are unable to fill their jobs with Americans.

President Donald Trump should follow up on his historic "big, beautiful" tax bill with an extra booster shot for the economy by immediately indexing the capital gains taxes for inflation.
There is a reasonable chance he can do this without having to go through Congress. And our sources in the administration tell us Trump is interested in doing just that.
The tax on inflationary gains is patently unfair.
Consider a middle-class investor who bought a stock at the start of the Biden presidency for $10,000 and sold it off four years later at a valuation of $12,200. The investor would pay a tax of about $400 on the "gain" of $2,200. But over that time period, prices of everything rose on average by 22%, thanks to Bidenflation, so the investor didn't really gain anything.

Church Watchdog says St Thomas Fifth Avenue Needs to Remove Porn Producer from Property

It’s astonishing that American Medical Association (AMA) President Bobby Mukkamala is siding with those who would ply children with life-altering drugs and hormones or irreversible surgeries to castrate them or remove healthy breasts.
The largest medical association in the United States has come out against the Supreme Court’s ruling in United States v. Skrmetti, which upheld Tennessee’s law against subjecting minors to transgender drugs, hormones and surgeries.
“The American Medical Association is disappointed in today’s decision that opens the door to further intrusion into patient care and harmful government interference into the practice of medicine,” American Medical Association (AMA) President Dr. Bobby Mukkamala said in a statement after the ruling was issued on June 18.
ACT NOW: Senate Armed Services Committee May Consider Two Dangerous Provisions

The Senate Armed Services Committee is beginning to draft the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). This week, they will be marking it up in committee, where they can present amendments to add or strike language. In recent years, dangerous language has been inserted with the help of a few Republicans. We ask you to urge them not to make the same mistakes!
Previous Senate iterations of the NDAA included a provision that would require women ages 18-25 to register for the Selective Service. Senators ignored the fact that women do not have the same muscular and bone structures as men, and therefore, fewer women would be capable of qualifying for military service. Reports and studies have shown that men outperform women in strength and endurance. Even when they “meet the minimum requirements” for military service, women are injured at twice the rate of men, just as female athletes in high school and college sports suffer much higher rates of injury. Anyone sending young women off to war would be using them as cannon fodder.
Texas Flood Claims Lives of Christian Campers

Tragedy hit Texas on the Fourth of July, when the Guadalupe River flooded, claiming at least 104 lives as of Tuesday morning. Authorities predict the casualties will continue to climb.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt called the flood a “once in a generation disaster,” and on Sunday, President Trump signed a major disaster declaration “to ensure that our Brave First Responders immediately have the resources they need.”
First responders reacted quickly to the flooding, rescuing over 850 people. One U.S. Coast Guard, Rescue Swimmer and Petty Officer Scott Ruskin, rescued 165 people himself, causing Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem to call him an “American hero [whose] selfless courage embodies the spirit and mission of the [U.S. Coast Guard].”

On April 22, I published an article in the Times Examiner entitled “The Sovereignty of God.” On June 10, I followed with an article entitled “Sharpening the Truth of Amazing Grace.” Grace is the sovereign gift of God. We do not earn Grace. We may be made in the image of God, but that too, is the sovereign gift of God. We are missing the mark, if we presume we can merit grace or salvation by our own efforts or wisdom. The sinful nature we inherited from Adam is too strong, too blinding, and too polarizing for us to truly know God or recognize our own depraved condition, nature, foolishness, and hopelessness. Grace is God’s loving intervention to cleanse, redeem, enlighten, save, and ultimately glorify whomever He chooses. But I cannot do justice to conveying these Biblical truths. Let Scripture, the Word of God, make the case.

Perhaps the most pertinent question facing us today is: just WHO is the “enemy” that has infiltrated its poisonous beliefs into our midst over many generations? An article in The New American Magazine, published on March 8, 2021 featured the insights of C. Mitchel Shaw, and was titled The Great Awakening. Reading it again, it prompted me to reflect on whether or not Americans are truly “awakening” to the dangers posed to their freedom under our increasingly disregarded 1787 Constitution, or have been brainwashed to become so “woke” by the lies of the main stream media during the scurrilous recently ended Comrade Sleazy Joe Biden mal-administration, and their almost cult-like and slavish adherence to the babblings of the “gods” of the despicable social media—the collectivist churls who are so determined to tell Americans, especially our younger citizens, WHAT to think, WHAT to dislike, andWHO to permit to exercise the increasingly nebulous concept of“free speech”, that most of them are essentially useless in the fight for freedom’s preservation.

For U.S. citizens, this is our most patriotic weekend of the year, so it seems fitting to rewrite and republish an essay that I wrote two years ago on Americanism. It is important to remember that in most of Europe, Patriotism is considered a bad thing that can lead to ‘far right” totalitarianism. Most U.S. citizens see it quite differently, and we celebrate patriotism, particularly on the Fourth of July every year.
Americanism can be defined as a belief in devotion, loyalty, or allegiance to the United States of America, as well as respect for its flag, traditions, customs, culture, symbols, institutions, and form of government.
At the heart of Americanism is loyalty to the United States, its culture, and its political structure. These ideals include, but are not limited to, independence, justice, freedom of speech, democracy, the Constitution, our Republic, and economic progress.
